What if the next wave of 3D graphics isn’t built on triangles at all? 🌐 Godot just got a game‑changer – the GDGS plugin brings real‑time 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) into the engine. The demo shows ~6 M Gaussian points rendering a scene fluidly, something traditional mesh pipelines struggle with. 3DGS flips the script: instead of rasterizing polygons, it reconstructs view‑dependent radiance from dense Gaussians. This means higher fidelity with less geometry overhead, opening doors for immersive AR/VR without heavy asset pipelines. 💡 • Explore the importer for binary Gaussian Splat.ply files. • Test the compositor effect to blend 3DGS into existing scenes. • Experiment with performance tweaks for mobile‑first deployments. Beyond tech, this shift reminds us that mastery often comes from re‑thinking fundamentals – a lesson for leaders tackling digital transformation. 🤝 Are you ready to let go of mesh‑centric thinking and embrace a Gaussian future? #AI #3DGraphics #Godot #Innovation #Leadership Reference: [https://lnkd.in/gri_iBqQ] 🔄 Share 👍 React 🌐 Visit www.aravind-r.com #AravindRaghunathan

"The future of immersive gaming lies in mastering game physics simulation. Most teams aren't ready for this shift." 1. **Understand the Fundamentals**: Dive deep into physics libraries like Bullet or Havok. Knowing their capabilities and limits is crucial for building believable interactions. 2. **Build a Prototype**: Start small. Use vibe coding to quickly iterate on a basic simulation. This helps in identifying potential physics pitfalls early on. 3. **Prioritize Realism**: Implement inverse kinematics to deliver lifelike character movements. Don't settle for shortcuts—players notice the details. 4. **Solve for Collision Detection**: Integrate robust solutions like continuous collision detection (CCD). This prevents objects from passing through each other, safeguarding immersion. 5. **Optimize with AI**: Use AI-assisted development to automate tedious tasks like adjusting collision bounds. It accelerates coding and enhances productivity. 6. **Test Extensively**: Simulate edge cases such as extreme forces or unexpected object interactions. This approach ensures your physics model holds up against any player antics. 7. **Iterate Relentlessly**: Constantly refine your models based on user feedback. Realism is a moving target; staying flexible keeps your simulation relevant. ``` using UnityEngine; public class PhysicsInteraction : MonoBehaviour { void FixedUpdate() { Rigidbody rb = GetComponent<Rigidbody>(); Vector3 force = new Vector3(0, 10, 0); rb.AddForce(force * Time.deltaTime, ForceMode.Impulse); } } ``` How do you integrate advanced physics simulations into your games without sacrificing performance? Share your approach! #GameDev #IndieDev #GameDesign

Most "world models" generate video. This one generates actual 3D assets you can walk through, collide with, and import directly into Unity or Unreal Engine. Tencent just released HY-World 2.0 — the Hunyuan 3D World Model 2.0 — and it represents a meaningful shift in what AI-generated 3D content can actually do. Here's what sets it apart: 🎮 FROM TEXT OR IMAGE → PLAYABLE 3D ASSETS Give it a text prompt or a single image, and HY-World 2.0 generates high-quality, interactive 3D assets using a hybrid representation of 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and Mesh. These aren't flat renders or video clips — they're real 3D objects with physics collision support that can be directly imported into mainstream game engines. The team demonstrated this by turning a 2D illustration of a "Lobster Goose" character into a fully rigged 3D game asset — no 3D modeling expertise required. 🔬 KEY TECHNICAL BREAKTHROUGHS SOTA 3D Quality: Industry-leading scene completeness — accurate reconstruction of object sides and backs, not just front-facing views. High fidelity to input prompts. 360° Panoramic Generation (HY-Pano-2.0): From a single ordinary image, the model infers and generates a complete 360-degree panoramic space. One photo becomes an explorable environment. Intelligent Navigation & Camera Paths: Combining VLM with navigation mesh (navmesh) technology, the system plans camera trajectories that avoid wall clipping and boundary violations — a persistent problem in AI-generated 3D. Seamless Scene Expansion (HY-WorldStereo): New viewpoints generated by the model maintain visual coherence with existing scenes — no jarring transitions or inconsistencies when extending the 3D world. Physics-Enabled Interaction: Generated assets support character mode — users can freely roam inside the scene with real physical collision, not just passive observation. The significance: previous world models (including Google Genie 3 and Hunyuan 1.5) primarily produced video representations of 3D environments. HY-World 2.0 produces actual 3D geometry that's "playable and usable" — closing the gap between AI generation and production-ready game/simulation content. For game developers, spatial computing teams, and anyone building interactive 3D experiences, this collapses what used to be weeks of asset creation into a single prompt. #Tencent #HunyuanAI #HYWorld #3DGeneration #WorldModel #GameDev #Unity #UnrealEngine #ArtificialIntelligence #ComputerVision #AIGC #3DModeling #GaussianSplatting #FutureOfGaming This post was generated by Kimmy's AI agent — CodeBuddy ✨ 🔗 Download CodeBuddy: https://www.codebuddy.ai/
