Yes, FHA has changed some of their photo requirements. Please note, as a review appraiser for several clients, most Lender Engagement Letters are not updated to FHA Requirements. Many Engagement Letters still have photo requirements FHA or not. Please read/understand the the Engagement Letter before accepting an appraisal assignment.

If lenders also begin to make this change in their engagements; it could be meaningful in terms of turn time reduction for FHA-related transactions.
