Ryan Brunnock shared thisMollie made her first trip to the Trinity Financial Strategies and Private Advisor Group office yesterday, so we figured it was time to get started on the important stuff. Yesterday’s agenda: 529 Plans: Start saving for college early, take advantage of tax-free growth for qualified education expenses, and hope she gets a scholarship. UTMA Accounts: Invest for her future and eventually hand her control of the account. All while spending the next 21+ years teaching her not to blow it all at once. Compound Interest: Start early, stay consistent, and let time do most of the work. Retirement Planning: We decided to table this one until she can hold her head up consistently. She didn’t take many notes and seemed significantly more interested in eating her hands, but overall I’d call her first financial planning meeting a success. Timothy Brunnock, Esq. LPL Financial

Ryan Brunnock shared thisAs a financial advisor, most people assume I love the word "budget." The truth? I absolutely hate it. To me, the word budget implies restriction. It feels like you're giving something up or telling yourself "no." Instead, I prefer the term "savings and spending plan" because that's exactly what it is-- that allows you to spend intentionally while still making meaningful progress toward your financial goals. Ironically, one of the most common questions I receive during our cash flow and savings seminars is: "How much cash should I actually have on hand?" As a general rule of thumb, we recommend keeping 3 to 6 months of living expenses in readily accessible cash. If you know you have a major purchase coming up in the next 12–18 months, whether it's a home, renovation, wedding, or another significant expense, you may want to keep more. The next question is always: "Okay...so what does that actually mean for me?" The answer is different for every family. A recent college graduate living at home has very different cash needs than a family with three children. Likewise, someone planning to buy a beach house in the next year has different needs than someone with no major purchases on the horizon. Here's an exercise I use during these seminars. I ask, "Who knows within $1,000 how much you earned last year?" Almost every hand goes up. Then I ask, "Who knows within $1,000 how much you spent last year?" Almost every hand goes down. That disconnect is exactly why Trinity Financial Strategies developed a "savings and spending plan" via a Family Expense Worksheet. It's a simple two-page worksheet. The first page covers essential expenses like your mortgage, groceries, utilities, insurance, and transportation. The second covers lifestyle spending—vacations, dining out, entertainment, memberships, and other discretionary expenses. Once it's completed, we can answer questions like: • How much cash should you have on hand? • How much could you realistically save each month? • Which account types make the most sense for your goals? • Are you on track for retirement, college, or your next major purchase? Financial planning doesn't start with picking investments. It starts with understanding your cash flow. If you'd like a copy of our Family Expense Worksheet or want to discuss how much cash you should have set aside based on your own situation, send me a DM. I'd be happy to share it and start the conversation. Timothy Brunnock, Esq. Private Advisor Group

Ryan Brunnock shared thisWhen Mollie was born in June, one of the first financial questions I started thinking about was: “What’s the best way to start investing for her future?” One account that’s generated a lot of questions recently is the new Trump Account. For those who haven’t heard about it, here’s the quick overview. Every eligible child born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 receives a $1,000 government-funded investment account fund (note you must apply for this). Parents, friends, and other family members can also contribute up to $5,000 a year to this account. At first glance, it’s easy to see the appeal. ✅ Every child gets a $1,000 head start. ✅ Long-term, low-cost investing. ✅ Family members can contribute. ✅ Nearly two decades for the money to compound. But after researching how these accounts work, I’m currently only planning on utilizing this account for the initial $1,000 contribution. Here’s why. 1️⃣ The tax treatment isn’t as attractive as other investment options. The account is funded with after-tax dollars. It grows tax-deferred. But when the investment gains are withdrawn, they’re generally taxed as ordinary income. Compare that to a traditional brokerage account invested in tax-efficient index funds, where long-term gains are generally taxed at the lower long-term capital gains rates. Over an 18+ year investment horizon, that difference can become meaningful. 2️⃣ The biggest tax advantage depends on a decision nearly two decades from now. One of the most attractive planning opportunities is converting the account to a Roth IRA once the child begins earning income. If everything lines up, those dollars could continue growing tax-free for decades. It’s an interesting strategy, but it also depends on future tax laws, future account rules, and future decisions. 3️⃣ The money ultimately becomes your child’s at 18. As a parent, I completely understand why some families like that. For me, I’d rather maintain flexibility and have a say in how those dollars are ultimately used. If someone handed me a large sum of money at 18, I probably would have spent it all on a boat to chase Tuna and striped bass. Fortunately, priorities change with age. I’d rather keep the flexibility to help Mollie use those dollars for whatever makes the most sense at that stage of her life. That may be college, buying her first home, starting a business, or something we can’t even imagine today. So what’s our plan for Mollie? For our family, we’re prioritizing: • A 529 plan for education savings. • A custodial investment account invested in low-cost, tax-efficient index funds. • The flexibility to adjust the plan as her future becomes clearer. Every family’s situation is different, and there isn’t one “right” answer. If you’re wondering what may make the most sense for your children and grandchildren, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to have a conversation! Trinity Financial Strategies Private Advisor Group Timothy Brunnock, Esq.

Ryan Brunnock shared thisOn June 5, 2026, Mary-Kate and I were blessed to welcome our beautiful daughter, Mollie Grace Brunnock, into the world. At 9 lbs. 7 oz., she made quite the entrance, and we couldn't be more in love. I am incredibly grateful that both Mary-Kate and Mollie are doing extremely well. These past few weeks have been filled with sleepless nights, endless diaper changes, and more joy than we ever imagined. Becoming a father has also reinforced something I discuss with clients every day: how quickly priorities change. The moment you hold your child, your perspective shifts from planning for yourself to planning for their future. Whether it's establishing a 529 plan to help fund future education, opening a UTMA account to begin building long-term wealth, reviewing life insurance needs, updating estate planning documents, or simply creating a financial roadmap that provides peace of mind, having a plan in place matters. As financial advisors, we often help clients prepare for life's biggest milestones. Experiencing one of those milestones firsthand has made the work we do even more meaningful. Thank you to everyone who reached out with congratulations, kind words, meals, and support over the past month. It has meant the world to our family. Ryan Brunnock shared thisOne of the most rewarding parts of coaching is having the opportunity to watch young people grow—not just as athletes, but as leaders, students, and future professionals. I’m excited to see Cole Capuzzi and Brendan Brunnock join Trinity Financial Strategies as summer interns. I had the privilege of coaching both of them during their time at Mendham High School, and they consistently impressed me with their work ethic, character, and willingness to do whatever was needed for the team to succeed. While they each made an impact on the basketball court, what always stood out most was the way they carried themselves off of it. Today, Cole is studying Accounting at the University of Florida and Brendan is studying Economics at Villanova University. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch them continue to grow and pursue their goals. Coaching has always been one of my greatest passions, and moments like this are a reminder of why. The relationships don't end when a player's high school career is over. Seeing former players continue to develop and succeed in the classroom, on the court, and now in their professional careers is something I truly appreciate. Looking forward to working with both of them this summer. Welcome to the team! Private Advisor Group Timothy Brunnock, Esq.Ryan Brunnock shared thisWe're excited to welcome two outstanding interns to Trinity Financial Strategies this summer! Please join us in welcoming Cole Capuzzi and Brendan Brunnock to the team. Cole recently completed his freshman year at University of Florida, where he is studying Accounting. Brendan recently completed his sophomore year at Villanova University, where he is studying Economics. Brendan has demonstrated a passion for markets, financial planning, and understanding the economic forces that shape the decisions individuals and businesses make every day. Throughout the summer, Cole and Brendan will gain hands-on exposure to many aspects of our business, including: • Financial planning and wealth management • Investment research and portfolio analysis • Client service and relationship management • Financial technology and operational processes • Marketing, communications, and business development initiatives At Trinity Financial Strategies, we believe the best way to learn is through real-world experience. Ryan Brunnock shared thisOver the last five years, Loyola has become a very special place for me. It has been a place to step away from the noise, reset, gain perspective, reflect on what truly matters, and think about how I can better serve others in both my personal and professional life. It has become a place of growth, clarity, and purpose, and I know I’m far from alone in feeling that way. Ryan Brunnock shared thisAs many of you know, my beautiful grandmother, Ronnie Brunnock, recently passed away after being diagnosed with leukemia. For years,Timothy Brunnock, Esq., and I have spoken with many of you about the importance of planning for long-term care. Seventy percent of us will need some form of care in our lifetime, and in 2025, the average cost of a nursing home in northern New Jersey has reached $165,000 per year. I understood those numbers intellectually—but they didn’t truly hit home until my grandmother got sick. While we were fortunate that she was able to remain at home for most of her illness, the reality is that 24-hour care adds up incredibly fast. We learned firsthand just how overwhelming—and how emotionally and financially draining—the cost of care can be. Through this experience, we’ve also learned about several new planning strategies that can help families prepare. These solutions not only provide the ability to pay for long-term care, but also offer market-linked growth on premiums, tax-free benefits, and a guaranteed death benefit if you (hopefully) never need care. Please join us today at 12:30 PM for an informative educational event with industry expert Andrew Wrigley, where we’ll share the most up-to-date strategies available. Ryan Brunnock liked thisRyan Brunnock liked thisI've spent years sitting across the table from people who've built serious wealth, and a few things keep coming up over and over. It's not about what you make, it’s what you keep. Income is not wealth. A $500K income disappears fast when taxes, lifestyle, and debt rise right along with it. Having over $1M invested does not mean you are diversified. If your salary, bonus, RSUs, and portfolio all trace back to the same company, you are carrying more concentrated risk than the number on the account statement suggests. The best use of your next $100K is not always "invest it." Sometimes paying down expensive debt, building liquidity, or fixing your tax position does more for you than another contribution. Taxes should be planned, not just reported. By the time your CPA files your return every spring, the decisions that actually shaped your tax bill already happened months earlier. More income does not simplify your financial life. It complicates it. A raise touches your tax strategy, your equity compensation, your insurance, your estate plan, all at once. And investing over $1M was never really the point. The real question is what that number is supposed to make possible for you, your family, and the years ahead. That's the conversation I have with clients every day, and it rarely starts with a specific number. It starts with complexity: equity compensation, multiple income sources, a tax picture that changes every time your income does. If that sounds familiar, I'd love to talk it through with you.

We’re introducing Harvey Tenet, which is a culmination of research investments over the last 6 months across benchmarking, post-training, and open-weight models. Our model is trained specifically for long horizon legal work, but we also see broad generalization across other agent and legal benchmarks. We’re also highlighting new capabilities that have been unlocked through our research: 1. M&A Diligence: Post-training in RLM harnesses to enable models to effectively coordinate high-scale, long-horizon tasks 2. Review Tables: Making models more effective and efficient at high-volume document review and structured data extraction 3. Over the past six months, our research agenda has focused on two goals: building frontier legal intelligence using open-weight models, and creating systems that allow law firms to build their own specialized models and own their intelligence. We’ve seen broad performance gains on long-horizon legal tasks like Legal Agent Benchmark (LAB), while maintaining strong performance on legal reasoning benchmarks. Beyond core legal task execution, we’ve also explored post-training for specific capabilities. Ryan Brunnock liked thisRyan Brunnock liked thisThere's a term you're going to hear a lot more of this year: renter exhaustion. Rents just hit another all-time high. We simply do not have enough inventory. We haven't built enough since the 2008-2009 financial crisis. That's not a talking point — that's over 15 years of underbuilding catching up to us now. A year from now, rents will be even higher. And that's exactly why more renters are starting to look at ownership differently. Between deducting mortgage interest and property taxes, plus building equity instead of handing it to a landlord — many are realizing they'd be better off owning. Before you renew that lease, run the numbers with a broker or a mortgage lender. Math doesn't lie.

Coming very soon: LPL is launching its own AI called Cyan.....more to come on that. In addition to that, I was on a mission to talk to MANY companies to get info about a ton of important things to our business and our clients. Somehow I managed to attend 5 breakout sessions that I chose on various topics, stopped by the booths of a handful of our best partner firms, snuck in a meal or two, completed a compliance session, visited a few home office booths to get questions answered, and even went to hang out after the day was over with our friends at Private Advisor Group for a happy hour. Then Patrick Newton, ChSNC® and I took the evening back to our childhood and played arcade games (with quarters) to wind down! Not a bad day if you ask me. #LPLFOCUS2026

Last week’s selloff that saw muni yields spike reflected technicals and broader macro issues, rather than fundamental municipal credit weakness. Lower-rated credits actually outperformed AAA paper — a sign this selloff was about rates, not risk appetite. Key takeaways: • 30-year muni yields hit their highest level since Feb. 2011 • 10-year muni-to-Treasury ratios touched 75%, a relative 5-year ceiling • The volatility may present one of the most compelling opportunities to put cash to work Get the full picture in this week's Muni Minute: https://bit.ly/4xnmU76

Insight for Wealth Managers: “Network → Net Worth” 1. In wealth management, your network often determines your net worth. The advisor who builds the strongest relationships eventually manages the largest capital. 2. HNI and UHNI clients rarely come from cold calls....they come from trusted introductions. One strong client can open doors to 5–10 similar clients. 3. The real asset of a wealth manager is not products or returns, but credibility within influential circles—business owners, CA firms, lawyers, family offices, and entrepreneurs. 4. The wealth industry follows a simple rule: Trust → Network → Assets → Revenue. 5. Every meeting should be treated as a relationship investment, not a transaction. Over time, the right network compounds just like capital. 6. The top advisors managing Big AUM usually have a powerful referral ecosystem, not the most aggressive sales pitch. “In wealth management, your net worth grows in proportion to the trust your network places in you.”

💡 Change My Mind Financial services reps often evolve into better lead advisors than junior advisors or paraplanners. Financial service agents spend the early part of their careers building relationships face-to-face with real people. Usually, helping people understand certain financial products & how they fit in a financial plan. They’ve logged hundreds of real conversations, handled objections, and built trust one client at a time. That kind of repetition develops emotional intelligence and composure that can’t be learned through coursework alone or backend office work. As the profession shifts from investment performance to behavioral guidance, these “soft” skills are becoming the new hard skills. Technical mastery matters though… This is where our Junior Advisors and Paraplanners thrive. They bring incredible investment acumen, education & designations, broad planning knowledge, and a deep understanding of the backend processes that keep an advisory practice running smoothly. In most of my conversations with Junior Advisors & Paraplanners, they all desire the “Lead Advisor” role one day… but I get the same discontented responses. Not enough client interaction. Not enough relationship management. No viable way to build their own book of clients. According to the CFP Board, long-term client trust is built on a combination of competence and relationship skill, not one in isolation. (CFP Board, 2023) In practice, once both professionals reach baseline competency, the differentiator isn’t knowledge… It’s connection with people & the ability to manage the client relationship. That’s why so many top advisors come from client-facing, sales-driven backgrounds: they understand people before they master planning software. I would love to see an expedited pathway for the Paraplanners & Junior Advisors to live out their vision! 👏🏽 👏🏽
