Roman Tsunder shared thisThanks for the love and support Jolyon Varley 🙏💗 Grateful to have you on this journey! PTTOW!Roman Tsunder shared thisI don't really post about books. Making an exception for this one 👀 Roman Tsunder has spent years in rooms with the most successful people on earth asking what success actually means to them. He's finally put the answers in his new book 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 and it's out today! If you don't know Roman, he co-founded PTTOW! back in 2009. It's an invite only network of CEOs, CMOs and people like Usher and the Dalai Lama. I'm grateful to be a member, which is the only reason I can tell you it's nothing like the traditional conference circuit. In the book, Roman talks about how from about the age of six, other people start defining success for you. Parents, teachers, mates. They all mean well. They point you at the safe stuff… the house, the title, the money. So you spend twenty odd years climbing it. And plenty of people get to the top and find there isn't much up there. The book is about what you do with that. It isn't telling you to pack it all in and go and find yourself. It's more about working out whose version of success you've been chasing all this time, and what it actually looks like when it's yours. If you've climbed something and found the view a bit underwhelming, this one's for you 🫶

Roman Tsunder shared thisthank you Paris Hilton ⚡ You certainly exemplify what being a Master of your craft means--> in front of and behind the scenes 🚀🚀🚀 Grateful to have you on this ride...Roman Tsunder shared thisI’m so honored to be part of my dear friend Roman Tsunder's new book, Plan To Take On the World, out now! 📖✨ PTTOW! has been such a special community for me over the years 💫 From receiving the PTTOW! Icon award to leading Think Tanks on fandom, co-creating Salons, giving a main-stage talk, and of course DJing the parties 🎧💖, it’s always been a place that inspires me to dream bigger and keep pushing boundaries. Roman wrote that I “don’t just show up, I jump in headfirst” 🥹 That’s exactly how I approach everything I do, and it’s what this book is all about: turning fear into fuel, leading with purpose, and bringing others along for the ride 💕 You can find me in Chapter 8, “Go O.H.F.” Congrats, Roman. I’m so proud of you! Here’s to taking on the world together 🌍✨ Get your copy here: https://bit.ly/4kmdw0B #PTTOW #PlanToTakeOnTheWorld

Roman Tsunder shared thisIt’s here. 📖 Plan To Take On the World! is officially out today, and I only have two words: THANK YOU. First, to our PTTOW! team. Without you, there is no PTTOW!, and there is no book. You built the community where every one of these conversations came to life. And to every person who sat across from me and shared their story, their fire, their impossible dream. This book belongs to you. I just got lucky enough to write it down. If you’ve ever hit a goal and still felt like something was missing, this book is your permission slip to go after what’s actually yours. Something deeper. Something only you can bring into the world. Terry Hardy Samantha Rabstein Kathlene Stakely Ryan Boughan Ryan Brenner Nicole Rosofsky Leann (Scibelli) Capraro Noel E. A. Roman Tsunder shared thisTomorrow is the day. I’ve been thinking about that this morning. Something I’ve been working on for 3 years will be out in the world. I didn’t write this book because I had it all figured out. I wrote it because I kept sitting across from business leaders, founders, athletes, artists, inspirationalists and changemakers who have achieved outsized 'success', and I wanted to understand what set them apart. Turns out it wasn’t genius. It wasn’t luck. It was clarity, and then courage, and then an unwillingness to quit on the thing that wouldn’t let them go. That’s what’s in these pages. Not my story. A framework anyone can use. Tomorrow. Let’s go. 🚀

Roman Tsunder shared thisKatie Couric has been on the PTTOW! stage more than once. In 2019, we honored her with the PTTOW! Icon Award. Five years later she was back, this time interviewing Reed Hastings. She’s interviewed LL Cool J too, and she always has the room in her hands. But the moment I remember most is when she came to talk about gun safety. It’s not an easy topic for a stage built for inspiration, and she took it on anyway, with stories and hard questions instead of a lecture. A room full of CEOs and CMOs sat completely still. She shows up in a few places in Plan To Take On the World! as an example of how to use your platform to make an impact and take action to change the world. She read an early copy and wrote something kind about it too, which meant a lot. Thank you, Katie Couric.

Roman Tsunder shared thisSome people change your life just by showing up. Ryan Detert grew up without his dad in the picture. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America changed the course of his life. It brought him Clayton Roth, the Big Brother who filled that space and showed up for him for thirty years. Clayton helped shape the man, and the leader, Ryan became. When Ryan, now CEO of Influential, took the PTTOW! stage, he could have talked about the company and the wins. Instead he talked about Clayton, with so much love and gratitude that it stuck with everyone in the room. Then he turned that gratitude into something bigger. In Clayton's honor, Ryan gave $1 million to Big Brothers Big Sisters and launched the Changemakers Challenge to create 50,000 new mentor matches. His story is in the book because it reminded me that the most powerful thing a leader can share isn't a win. It's who helped them get there. Who was your Clayton?

Roman Tsunder reposted thisRoman Tsunder reposted thisPatrick O'Keefe (Chief Integrated Marketing Officer, E.L.F. BEAUTY) connected with Michelle Bell (Founder, Geo Massive) at PTTOW! around an opportunity to bring e.l.f. beauty closer to its audience through something they already love: music 🎶 That conversation has now grown into Mirror Mix, a new e.l.f. album supporting emerging artists and songwriters. And the PTTOW! family came out to support! Connor Lim's International Dance League joined the celebration, performing alongside one of the rising artists featured on the album. This goes beyond a hot single. It’s beauty, music and community coming together to create new opportunities for the next generation of talent. Congratulations to Michelle, Kory Marchisotto, Patrick and the teams who brought it all to life! We love seeing what can happen when the brightest leaders get in the same room. 👏 #PTTOW #IDL #MirrorMix #elfcosmetics #GeoMassive

Roman Tsunder shared thisThe day before Danny Way jumped the Great Wall of China on a skateboard, he crashed on his practice run and broke his ankle. The next morning he climbed to the top of the ramp anyway. Sixty-five feet up, wind howling, locusts in the air. He dropped in, crested 60 mph, and flew over the Wall. Then he went back up and did it three more times, just for fun. Years later, James A. Sullos and I sat down with Danny when PTTOW! gave him our Icon award. We had to ask: everyone would have understood if you'd called it off. Why didn't you? He looked at us and said, "You wouldn't be here giving me the Icon award." Then he got serious. "Fear is your friend. You need fear to focus you and prepare you." What most people miss is that it wasn't a reckless gamble. After the crash, he figured out his drop-in wasn't high enough and had them build the ramp a couple of feet taller. The courage was real. So was the homework. As someone who's afraid of heights, Danny's chapter is the one that challenges me most. You don't erase the fear. You prepare for it, and you jump anyway. Bert Jacobs Terry Hardy

Roman Tsunder shared thisOne month from today, Plan To Take On the World! comes out. People keep asking me what it's actually about. Honestly, it's about what success really means. Not just the title or the number, but finding the thing that makes you come alive, and having the courage to go after it. And almost everything in it, I learned from other people. Seventeen years of conversations with members, speakers, friends, teammates and a few strangers who changed the way I see things. I just wanted to put some of it in one place, so it could reach people who were never in the room. It comes out October 27, the same morning we open the doors at PTTOW! NXT at the Four Seasons Westlake Village. Can't think of a better way to spend that day than with the community that made the book possible. Grateful to every one of you. One month to go.

Built on the idea that Gen Z doesn’t separate identity into categories, the partnership brings style and music together both on platform and in real life, including the Tabby Tour, a traveling experience reaching fans across the U.S., U.K., Japan, and South Korea. It’s always great to see two members’ brands come together around a shared insight and build something fans can step into! #CoachxSpotify #BrandPartnerships #GenZMarketing #ExperientialMarketing #PTTOW

Roman Tsunder liked thisRoman Tsunder liked thisThis week, our son Gethin got to introduce Alana Springsteen at PTTOW! NXT. A 10 year old introducing a music star at a huge event is special, but I love how we got here. Music has been a part of his entire life. He's been lucky to interact with musicians of all kinds in all cities. But what Chelsea & I are most grateful for is the way he's been welcomed into that community. Whether it's a singer songwriter playing at a restaurant chatting with him between sets. Or a busker smiling warmly & thanking him for a tip. The first band he loved & got to know was his mates in The Struts. They let him come to soundcheck, and Big Gethin even let him try his drum kit. Jed talked bass & guitar with him. When we were living at Lake Oconee, Eric Dodd would invite him invite him to intro him at gigs he was doing in the area. One time, another band (Scott Deering & The Usual Suspects) saw him intro Eric and asked him to also intro them. From there, our friend Basak (who manages Alana) & Alana herself, embraced him literally & figuratively and brought him into their world. He was invited to help sell her merch, carry her gear to the stage and just see how an artist & manager operate on & off the stage. So when Alana was coming to close out PTTOW NXT and I was asked to intro her, I knew I had to bring her #1 fan with me to make the actual intro. The PTTOW staff + community was equally welcoming. He loves being at any PTTOW event because both members & staff embrace his creativity, his joy and just his presence. He was nervous before, and practiced what he would say. Then he crushed it. As he stepped off stage, he got massive hi 5's and people came up to tell him great job. Rafael Macias made me grin ear to ear when he sent me a note saying "Before I forget - your son introducing Alana was the biggest highlight of the summit!" Proud dad moment for sure. It means the world to him, and means even more to his parents. It's the community you have around you. And we're grateful to Big Gethin, Jed, Alana, Basak, Eric and all the other people who created the environment for a 10 year old to have the confidence to step on that stage! Roman Tsunder liked thisRoman Tsunder liked thisLouis Vuitton just hosted a dinner where the table moved you to someone new every course. So LV got to design who you talk to as part of the experience - such a smart concept. Brands have worked out that food and dining experiences might be the most universal language they have. The venue, chef and guest list are the new baseline. The focus has moved to how the night actually plays out around the people you meet and what you do together. → 84% of consumer marketers planned to increase event spending in 2026. → 52% of consumer marketers say event-created content is their top spend category. The shift is brands acting as connection facilitators and they’re investing record amounts into curating ways for people to meet. It mirrors something happening outside luxury. Timeleft, an app that seats six strangers at dinner, went from launch in 2023 to about 150,000 diners a month across more than 200 cities. People are paying to sit next to someone new. I predict we’ll see more brands start designing their events specifically around connection. Also shout out to Hector Muelas for starting his new role soon at LV.

Roman Tsunder liked thisRoman Tsunder liked thisFor most of my career, I've helped other people tell their stories. I never had much interest in telling my own story and I wasn't interested in writing an autobiography. I just didn't think it would be that interesting. Over the course of my career, I've been fortunate to work with some of the most remarkable people in the world. I've learned from their successes, their mistakes, their habits and the way they approach life. Shaq kept telling me I needed to share the methodology I'd used to help people maximize their potential. And I've tried to apply those lessons to my own life. What emerged was a set of seven principles that I believe can help anyone become more successful, fulfilled and capable of making a positive difference in the lives of others. That's why I wrote MAXIMIZE. Not to tell people what I've accomplished. But to share what I've learned—and hopefully help others accomplish things they never thought possible. MAXIMIZE: 7 Keys to Unlock Greatness in You Foreword by Shaquille O'Neal. Available November 10. Most people fight for attention. Justin Oberman explains why the smartest operators skip that fight entirely — by showing up as news instead of noise, so the audience leans in before a single word of "selling" ever happens. Turning that kind of instinct into a repeatable content strategy is exactly what the Veblen Thought Leadership Series was built for: we take an expert's raw insight and shape it into a polished session that reads like a story worth paying attention to, not a pitch. VTLS handles the promotion, the registrations, and the production, so your ideas get the spotlight they deserve. Curious what that could look like for you? A peek inside Chief's camera roll this week. More than half of Chief's Miami community showed up at POSSIBLE 2026 this week. Across four pop-up experiences, ranging from a Chief Hour breakfast at the Basis Oasis with partner Basis to a VaynerMedia-hosted session on building authentic influence, members dug into how to pair AI's speed with human creativity, build brands that hold up under pressure, and lead teams through the shifting AI landscape. And at the heart of it all, you could find Miami Community Manager Chauncey Walker M.Ed facilitating connections for every Chief in the room. Members described these intimate gatherings as a perfect complement to the size, breadth, and hubbub of POSSIBLE: "Chief events were a needed boutique meet-up fix away from it all” That's what happens when you pair one of media's biggest stages with the kind of gathering Miami's Chief community does best — waterfront, well-dressed, and deep in conversation before the first panel even starts. Shoutout to Chauncey, our partners, and the entire Chief team for creating a week worth remembering. Tell us about a Chief connection you made at POSSIBLE 2026 👇

Most brands that think they’re driving culture are really just borrowing from it. In another collaboration with INDIE at Large on the beach at Cannes, Lindsay Harris and I spoke to Kai Deveraux Lawson (Co-founder & CEO Valerie) and Dr. Charlene Thomas (SVP of Marketing at Def Jam Recordings) about the role of culture in modern marketing. Beyond excited for this service expansion under the proven leadership of Amy Segal. At THE·TEAM, we work so closely with both our brand and property clients to deeply understand their businesses, so this just felt like a natural extension of how to serve in that capacity, by helping them find the best talent to lead their businesses forward. And of course if you come to us - you can count on it being female inclusive thanks to the relentless leadership of Thayer Lavielle and The Collective. So so many top female executives in this industry are overlooked in the recruiting process. That ends with us. Can’t wait! 💪

Culture doesn't follow brands. Brands follow culture. Dr. Marcus Collins and Kenneth Mitchell on stage at Brand Innovators during Super Bowl week. Dr. Marcus Collins wrote the book on it. Literally. It's called "For the Culture." Kenneth Mitchell is living it as Global CMO of Levi Strauss & Co. They're talking about what happens when brands collaborate with celebrities, creators, and other brands. Spoiler: it's not about the follower count. Two of the sharpest minds in marketing. One conversation. Check out this clip.

Making promises and keeping them is how you build a brand. So have you started building your brand ? Well said Juliane (Jules) Camposano and Seth Godin. When you give your word and give a target date to do something , that’s a promise which you need to keep and it’s up to you in most instances to define the target date too.
