Three months. One quarter.
In our industry, we often measure progress in quarters. We set goals, review results, and move on to the next milestone. It's hard to believe that I've already been back to work for a full quarter after taking time away to care for my youngest son, Carson.
That milestone has given me the chance to reflect, not just on returning to work, but on the incredible people who helped make it possible.
When Carson was diagnosed with leukemia in June 2025, our family's world changed overnight. Suddenly, our days revolved around hospital stays, chemotherapy, clinic visits, and simply helping our little boy get through each day.
During that time, my professional community showed me what leadership, teamwork, and compassion truly look like.
To my teammates, leaders, mentors, partners, current and former clients, and colleagues, thank you.
Thank you to everyone who stepped in to cover my work so I could be fully present for Carson and our family. Your willingness to take on more, solve problems, and support our clients allowed me to focus on where I was needed most. That is a gift I will never be able to fully repay.
Thank you to those who checked in, sent encouraging messages, dropped off meals, and reminded us we weren't alone.
Thank you to everyone who donated to fundraisers or organized fundraisers in Carson's honor. Your generosity not only supported our family but also helped bring hope and resources to other families navigating childhood cancer.
I'm incredibly grateful to share that Carson will complete his frontline treatment in the coming days and transition into maintenance later this month. While our journey isn't over, reaching this milestone feels incredibly meaningful.
This experience has changed how I think about success.
The campaigns, strategies, and business results matter. But when life happens, and eventually it does for all of us, the thing you'll remember most is the people.
The people who lead with empathy.
The people who quietly step in without being asked.
The people who remind you that you're valued not just for what you do, but for who you are.
To everyone who has been part of our journey over the past year, thank you. Your kindness carried our family through the hardest season of our lives, and I will never forget it. 🤍
