Madelyn O'Neil shared thisCelebrating three incredible years at Braze! Reflecting on this journey, I am overwhelmed with pride for all the milestones we've achieved together. 👩🏻🏫 Built an onboarding program that I lovingly refer to as my second child and raised it with the best aunties and uncles Hayley Roberts, Jessica OKOU, Evan O'Donnell, Alyssa Tanchoco, Zakariah Rittenhouse, and Jacob Edwards! 🏆 Designed a set of challenging certifications and assessments for new hires with the brilliant Elisa Garcia Chohan and Kareena Uttamchandani! 👷🏻♀️ Was given the opportunity to take Josh Haluszczak's change management vision and run with it, to become one of my most passionate projects to date - Thank you! 🎮 Dabbled in playbooks with Gwendolyn Paine and Georgie Herholdt! 🔥 Relaunched a monthly program with Thomas Ploch. Our first session sustained over 70% attendance even with breakout rooms (if you know, you know) with an average attendee duration of 48 minutes! 🤖 Reimagined the role of AI in selling with insights from Regina Arellano! 🌆 Learned that SKO is a beast of an event! Only made easy with help from Ninti Alfred and Nikki Patel! 📊 Created an Enablement Engagement Dashboard, broke it, and then rebuilt it! ❤️ And so many other projects with Grace Barrett, M.Ed, Katie MacDonald, Lyrenna Loh, and Erin Harvey! As a sales director 3 years ago, if you asked me if I would be doing all of this, the answer would have been “nahhh”! But I’m sure glad I did! Thank you to Nagendra Sherman for your mentorship and guidance into enablement, to Herschell B for taking a chance on a non-enablement person, Bryan Naas for giving me creative freedom, and Amy Weil for the opportunity to go beyond a single focus to explore all that enablement has to offer! Here’s to more learning, growing, and enabling! 🚀 #WorkAnniversary #CareerJourney #TeamBraze #ProfessionalGrowth #SalesEnablement

Madelyn O'Neil liked thisMadelyn O'Neil liked thisData Objects went GA at Braze today!! I worked closely with product on it for two years, but the idea goes back to my first week here. Almost 8 years ago I joined Braze from the B2B world. I’d spent years using Marketo, was new to B2C tools, and was blown away by what Braze could do. The scale, the real-time capabilities, and how hard our customers pushed the platform were on another level. The big streamers and gaming companies were building things I’d never seen a marketing tool do. For them, real time was a requirement. In B2B nobody cared about it, mostly because Marketo and Pardot couldn’t handle it. The first question I asked Bill M. (our CEO) when I joined the ~200-person startup was: there’s so much here that applies to B2B, what’s our plan? The answer was simple. We didn’t have one. There was a massive TAM ahead of us and no reason to muddy the water at that stage. The question stayed with me, and what stood in the way was one basic construct: accounts. Braze was built around the user. That made sense for B2C, but it forced some awkward workarounds on our B2B and B2B2C customers. Say you’re selling to a buying team of 10, 15, 20 people (CTO, CMO, legal, procurement, marketing end users) and want to personalize on account-level data. You had to copy it onto every user profile and keep it in sync. If one field changed on one account, that was 15 updates. Not pretty, and not fun. Marketo handled this years ago with custom objects and relationships. Braze stayed away from relationships on purpose. They slow down sends and push you toward SQL and batch processing, which is everything we were against. We needed to stay real time. Over the last few years the tradeoffs changed. The technology caught up, the downsides of a relational model started to fade, and the upside for account-based use cases kept growing. About two years ago I started a project to figure out how we could better serve our B2B and B2B2C customers, plus the many B2C customers with B2B use cases. After a lot of prioritization with leadership and product, it became Data Objects. User data still lives in MongoDB, which powers the real-time side of Braze. Non-user data now lives in Postgres right next to it, with relationships between the two. That can be B2B accounts, households, or bank accounts and credit cards. You update an account once and the relationships hold for every user tied to it. Docs: https://lnkd.in/gfvJF6fh 8 years after that first conversation, we still don’t have a B2B product. But we’re pushing what’s possible for B2C companies with B2B requirements, and this lays the foundation for broader B2B use cases down the road. Huge thanks to the product and eng teams for letting me disrupt your roadmap!

Please send well wishes, good luck and if NYC - cheer them on! They both got accepted to the race by running for Haymakers for Hope which is an organization that raises funds to fight and beat the crap out of cancer So two things - 1. how much have they raised and 2. the "why" they are running this race that that they posted on the fundraising site. Yes we are so proud and YES we will be there cheering them on and we will have a very fun post run get together at the Le Baratin- LG 1. By the numbers: Kayleen Amateur boxing event Nov of 2023 - $43,359 Kayleen, Meghan and Patrick 1\2 Marathon in NYC on St Partricks Day 2024 - $9,809 Kayleen and Patrick - NYC Marathon 2026 $ 16,953 Grandtotal Duffy kid's contribution for Haymakers for Hope $70,121!!! 2. The Post: Patrick and I are proud to be running the 2026 New York City Marathon together in support of Haymakers for Hope. This will be the first full marathon for both of us, and we’re lacing up our running shoes with a purpose: to support those battling cancer and to raise funds for cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship. Our connection to this cause is deeply personal. Cancer has touched our family in many ways. Our cousin Kyle battled childhood leukemia. Our grandmother fought cancer throughout her life. We lost our Uncle Steve to cancer, and another uncle has been courageously battling the disease over the past few years. Like so many families, we know how deeply cancer affects not just individuals, but everyone who loves them. Our journey with Haymakers for Hope actually started a few years ago. The first race we ever fundraised for was with our sister when we ran the Haymakers path in New York. It was a really special moment for our family, and it shaped how we think about showing up for causes that matter. In 2024, we ran our first half marathon together through Haymakers for Hope and saw firsthand the impact a community can have when it rallies around a cause. That experience inspired us to take on an even bigger challenge this year. Running 26.2 miles through New York City will likely be one of the biggest physical challenges we’ve taken on. Training is long, uncomfortable, and sometimes intimidating. But every time it feels hard, we remind ourselves that there are far greater battles people are facing every day. This run is for them. Haymakers for Hope brings together fighters and runners to raise critical funds for cancer research and patient support. Every step we take and every mile we run is another step toward knocking out cancer. Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, and supported us. It truly means the world to us. — Kayleen & Patrick

Madelyn O'Neil liked thisMadelyn O'Neil liked thisEvery marketer knows the last minute before a big send: you scroll the preview one more time, recheck the segment, and look again for the unsubscribe link you already confirmed twice (okay maybe a few more times). Way back in the day…this was me sending messages with Braze to our customers. I never got over that feeling. I’ve come to see that hesitation as care. The people on the other side of that button are reading on a train or between meetings, and they trusted you with their inbox. A single send can shape how a lot of them feel about a brand that day, and good marketers fight for that trust. The trouble is how often the final check rests on one tired person trying to meet a deadline and keep every rule in their head. Agentic Standards, now generally available in Braze, takes on some of that work. It’s a new feature powered by BrazeAI that checks campaigns and Canvases against a team’s own setup, content and compliance rules before they go live, using the checks the team already has or make new ones. Paired with BrazeAI Operator, it also helps fix what it finds before launch. Joshua Jones at Sportsbet described what it has meant for his team: “In a highly regulated industry like ours, QA is one of the most important things we do. Agentic Standards has already closed some of our biggest gaps, like catching missing unsubscribe links or eligibility segments, and it’s given us real confidence around consistency and compliance at scale.” The pause before send is worth keeping. What changes is that the marketer taking it now has something checking alongside them. Congrats to Ian Leue Matthew Katz Am Gill on the launch!

Madelyn O'Neil liked thisMadelyn O'Neil liked thisLast week was a busy one, and my favorite part of it by far was the morning a few of us from the Braze San Francisco office spent volunteering at St. Anthony Foundation. 💜 St. Anthony’s has served San Franciscans since 1950, starting with a dining room that now serves hot meals every day, plus free clothing, a food pantry, and a resource center with case management and health care for families and individuals in need across the city. I admit when my alarm clock went off at 5:30am, I wasn't looking forward to getting out of bed. I went in thinking I’d help out for a few hours and get on with my day, but I was really moved by the community showing up for one another. It stuck with me enough that I signed up for another shift the following week and now hope to get on a monthly cadence. I’m grateful to work at a company that makes this so easy to say yes to. Braze gives us volunteer time off, and the hours we volunteer turn into funds we can donate to a cause we choose. It meant a few of us could spend a weekday morning in that kitchen instead of at our desks, and the time keeps giving after we leave. If you’re in SF and looking for a way to help, St. Anthony’s is always looking for volunteers: stanthonysf.org. Thank you to the St. Anthony’s staff for having us, and to Emily Ashwell Jacob DeAngeles Brenda Loza Kipp Johnson for spending the morning with me. #brazecares

Madelyn O'Neil reacted on thisHere’s what REALLY happened at Braze this week… It’s been quite the week in Customer-Engagement-land. Yet when I think about where we spent our time, effort and resources: - Customer, Customers, Customers with Ed McDonnell Erika Semtei-Rotundo and Jesse Hoobler - Reviewing applications for our T4EF program where we give 12 months free Braze access (and dedicated Customer Success support) to underrepresented founders with Blair Pettit Taño and Rod McLeod - Hiring AEs, AMs, BDRs, Success, Solutions and AI specialists all over the world with Cara Hurley - Volunteering, shout out to Teresa Rodriguez and the SanFran crew for serving 700 meals with St. Anthony Foundation Yes, the market is changing. But being fixated on understanding our customers, solving their problems and creating value…shaping the SaaS community and being a force for positivity and progress…That hasn’t changed since I joined Braze pre-IPO many years ago. Our commitment to our customers is unshakeable. It’ll only grow. It’s who we are.

The market is drowning in AI slop, or robotic noise that trains your customers to tune out. The new challenge isn't speed—it's relevance. I’m excited to share that we've launched a major evolution of BrazeAI™ and the new Braze Creative Studio. The BrazeAI Operator™ is your in-dashboard AI assistant that builds campaigns, deploys agents, and gets work done in Braze. The BrazeAI Agent Console™ lets you embed agents in user flows to level up from basic if-then rules and create more relevant, intelligent experiences. 🚀 We’re also closing the gap between creative production and campaign execution with the Braze Creative Studio, including new direct Figma and Canva integrations. With creative assets and content in one place, marketers can move from bold ideas to live campaigns faster. 🪄 With so much noise and infinite content, we’re building the technology that helps brands be more human.
