And an un-teachable leader is a future liability. Here’s the truth most people won’t say: A mistake that makes you bumble is better than an achievement that makes you arrogant. I learned this after a win that went to my head. A project landed. People praised it. My confidence started doing backflips. I began speaking like I “figured it out.” Then I made one small decision… without asking questions… without listening… without checking the details. And boom. That “small” decision created a big mess. Suddenly my inbox was on fire. My pride was on life support. And my “expert” badge got revoked in real time. 😅 WHAT: Success made me louder. Failure made me wiser. SO WHAT: Because humility keeps you growing. Arrogance keeps you repeating. A humble mistake teaches you to: Ask better questions. Respect the process. Value other people’s input. But arrogant achievement? It makes you skip steps. It’s like: A driver who passes the test once then drives like traffic laws are suggestions. A musician who hits one hit song then stops practicing. A leader who wins one time then stops learning. Success without humility is a sugar rush. It feels good… until the crash. NOW WHAT: If you want to keep winning and keep growing: Treat every win like a checkpoint, not a throne. Review mistakes without shame—extract the lesson. Stay coachable—seek feedback from people who disagree with you. Celebrate the team—ego shrinks when gratitude grows. Ask daily: “What am I missing?” (dangerous question… powerful results) Takeaway: A bumble can make you better. But arrogance can make you blind. Over the past three years, I��ve had the opportunity to grow professionally, broaden my perspective, lead through change, and contribute to a business that continues to evolve at a remarkable pace. The greatest lesson has been that leadership is as much about mindset as it is about results. It’s about staying focused on the bigger picture, challenging the status quo, remaining accountable, and creating an environment where people and performance can thrive. I’ve also come to appreciate how much success is built through relationships and connectivity. The leaders who have invested in me, the colleagues who have challenged my thinking, the partners who have collaborated with me, and the teams I’ve had the privilege to lead have all played a role in shaping where I am today. Each experience has reinforced the importance of being intentional. Intentional about developing people, building strong partnerships, identifying opportunities, and creating sustainable business impact. I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences, relationships, and lessons from these first three years. Most importantly, I’m energized by what’s ahead and the opportunity to continue making an impact.
