John Henry reacted on thisJohn Henry reacted on thisSaturday morning consumer investor thought. I think the CPG industry has a BIG problem. WAY TOO MANY BRANDS are building products for investors...instead of consumers. Beautiful packaging. Celebrity investors. Massive fundraising rounds. Incredible pitch decks. Don't get me wrong--I love all of it, but... WHAT IF YOU MADE PRODUCTS PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANTED TO BUY AGAIN. Not try once. Not just post on Instagram. Not just do some ridiculously coordinated TikTok video that makes us all cringe. Actually buy. Again and again and again. At the end of the day, you can’t build a billion-dollar brand on hype alone. You need repeat customers. You need real demand. And you need a product that delivers. Hype gets you noticed. Repeat purchases build empires. Happy Monday. Let’s win. 🤘🤘

John Henry liked thisJohn Henry liked thisNiiice! During the home opener vs the Spurs, The Dallas Mavericks surprised me w a Jersey ceremony celebrating 22 years of emceeing games! And a nod to my expanding Ambassador role & responsibilities, that includes our significant community impact initiatives, plus I'll be doing two new Mavs radio shows on the home of the Mavs 105.3 the Fan & KRLD. I'll still be at the games, but I'm passing the torch. Emcee Emeritus! Gotcha Down!! Thanks y'all!

John Henry reacted on thisJohn Henry reacted on thisAfter four years managing Fortune 500 accounts in telecom and retail, I was recently impacted by a layoff. In my latest role, I managed a $10M to $12M book of business across about 20 enterprise accounts, maintaining a 90 to 95% retention rate year over year. Prior to that, I spent 14 years at Apple, leading teams, training talent, and driving sales across SMB and enterprise segments, consistently performing as a top IC and manager. What I’m proudest of, though, isn't just the numbers; it’s the trust. I’ve always been the person clients call when something goes wrong because they know I genuinely care about their business, not just the contract. That’s why those relationships last. What I’m looking for next: Senior Customer Success Manager, Strategic Account Manager, or CS Leadership roles (Remote or Dallas Fort Worth / DFW). If you know of any CS leaders hiring, or if you're open to connecting, I’d deeply appreciate an intro or share! Huge thank you to everyone who has already reached out, your support means the world. #CustomerSuccess #OpenToWork #CSM

John Henry liked thisJohn Henry liked thisFor a long time I wasn’t the biggest fan of the media. Now I’m going to be part of it. Life’s funny like that. I’m excited to see the game from a different angle. As a player and a coach, everything was win or lose. In media you don’t win or lose. You can only get better at it, and that’s the part I’m looking forward to. It’s a new challenge, and the challenge is where I’ve always had the most fun. Thank you to ESPN for the opportunity. Let’s get to work.

John Henry reacted on thisJohn Henry reacted on thisThat look on Colt's face? That's the look he gave me right before he set me straight. We were in a booth at Johnny Rockets when my phone rang. It was my oldest son, and the call went sideways fast. I lectured. I interrupted. I had the facts, I had the rules, and I was sure I was right. Colt heard every word of my side. When I hung up, he looked at me and said: "Mom, if you listen to learn instead of listening to fight, you'll get further." Then he went back to his fries. I didn't have a comeback, mostly because he was right, and he's 12. I hadn't asked a single question on that call. I thought I already knew the problem, so I spent the whole conversation making my case. What my son heard was that I wasn't curious about his side. So I called back. Different tone. One question: "What's actually going on?" That call ended with both of us feeling better. It became a conversation instead of a debate. I see the same pattern at work. In a tough discussion, it's tempting to jump straight to what we think we know, or to the correction, or the direction. It feels efficient. But it rarely fixes anything. Curious questions are what lead to understanding, and often to possibilities none of us saw coming. Our kids are watching how we handle pressure. So are our teams. Thanks for the lesson, Colt. I'm still a work in progress. So, here's the question worth pausing on: Are we listening to learn, or just waiting to respond?

John Henry reacted on thisJohn Henry reacted on thisA fresh look and a reason to celebrate! 🧡This week, we celebrated the Grand Reopening & Ribbon Cutting of 25N Frisco. We've made some exciting updates to our space, and it was a great excuse to bring together the people who make this community what it is. From longtime members to new faces, we loved seeing everyone come together to celebrate this next chapter. A huge thank you to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce for joining us for the ribbon cutting, and to our members, friends, and community partners for celebrating alongside us. Here's to continuing to grow, connect, and do great things together in Frisco!

La Porte is ready to grow, and now it has the team to make it happen. The City of La Porte has selected Retail Strategies to lead its retail and restaurant recruitment efforts following a competitive RFP process. With a strong employment base, steady population growth, and a location less than 30 minutes from downtown Houston, La Porte is primed for growth. Our team will hit the ground running with market analysis, an in-market real estate tour, and representation at ICSC Red River in San Antonio this February, putting La Porte in front of the brokers, developers, and brands that matter.
