The very next day we heard in the hallways that those who attended the TableTop talk have already started building their own tabletops based on the ideas and methods presented. That's the best outcome we could have hoped for and glad it's already being put to practical use.

Joe Minieri liked thisJoe Minieri liked thisToday is the day. My last day at The Home Depot. Just a few days over 5 years actually. I have been blessed to lead a team of cybersecurity professionals that are without a doubt World Class. The progress made in securing the world's largest home improvement retailer has been incredible. My hope is that I made the place a little better for the people who I was entrusted to lead. I love this company and I love the team I got to be a part of. I'd list off a bunch of names of people I'd like to thank, but that would be HUMINT that I don't want to share lol...I'm still a cyber guy! For those who know me I often say "Life takes you where you are meant to be". I think back to when I was at Fidelis and my team was helping out with the 2014 breach THD suffered. I never could have imagined that I would end up working here let alone running such a large part of the cyber mission as the first Deputy CISO for the company. But the move to EY and then to THD...life took me where I was meant to be. Stay tuned to this space on Monday for where the next stop is on my journey. Although with as many people who are pinging me already, it's apparently not that big of a secret! #BleedingOrange #THD #HomeDepot The Home Depot

Despite Home Depot utilizing expensive Manhattan Active Warehouse Management System (WMS) by Manhattan Associate they still can't find a full pallet of stone bags that show received last week and in inventory at a local Atlanta area Home Depot store, but staff told me to go to another store because they can't find it and internal inventory procedures are still very sloppy. To anyone familiar with Home Depot IT, how can that possibly be?

Traditional IT security says block first. Operational technology often requires a very different answer. In this episode of #TechTransforms, Carolyn Ford speaks with Brahman T., Chief Information Security Officer at GME, about protecting manufacturing environments where availability is just as critical as security. The discussion explores: • Why OT security requires different decision-making • Balancing operational continuity with cyber risk • Building resilience instead of simply checking compliance boxes • The importance of trust, communication, and process in modern cybersecurity It's an insightful conversation for anyone responsible for protecting critical infrastructure, manufacturing, or complex operational environments. When I hire senior cyber leaders, I'm looking for EQ. In a high-pressure environment, a leader’s ability to build psychological safety is a security control. Why? Because burnout increases breach risk. When your team is exhausted and afraid to speak up, that’s when the mistakes happen. I’ve intentionally built my leadership style to be the opposite of the toxic environments I saw early in my career. I want people to apply for a role because they want to work with me, not just for the company. We need to stop acting like women in tech have to "show up as men" to be successful. Own your voice, call out the nonsense, and take care of your people.

Last week it was great to catch up with the Edge Monsters in a soggy Salt Lake City. Our conversations and on-site visits reinforced what keeps showing up across the technology landscape: the edge is everywhere and growing! From retail and supply chain to manufacturing and industrial environments, there's a lot of activity. We dug into emerging observability patterns, the continued rise of edge AI, and how data at the edge is becoming critical for managing real‑world capacity and operational constraints. These are the same pragmatic, production‑driven themes the Edge Monsters regularly explore on the blog at https://edgemonsters.dev/. #edgecomputing #edgeAI #retailtech #EdgeMonsters

Hello The Home Depot As a frequent flyer at your stores and a longtime resident in the Atlanta metro area, I’ve spent countless hours navigating your aisles to build and manage real projects around my home. But while I’m a DIYer on the weekends, my professional life is dedicated to a different kind of architecture: Cybersecurity and GRC. I am writing this open letter because I am eager to bring my experience to the Cybersecurity Analyst | Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. The Home Depot’s commitment to "doing the right thing" and "taking care of our people" resonates deeply with my own leadership philosophy. In my career as a GRC Analyst, I’ve learned that security isn't just about checkboxes—it’s about removing roadblocks for the team and ensuring the business can grow safely and sustainably. Why I believe I’m a fit for the Orange Apron team: GRC Expertise: With experience at organizations like Oracle and Equifax, I understand the complexities of enterprise-level risk management and the critical nature of maintaining trust in a massive retail ecosystem. A "People-First" Approach: I don't just audit; I collaborate. I believe a GRC Analyst’s best tool is their ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable success for technical teams. Ownership Mentality: Whether I’m managing a marketplace application project or a property, I treat every environment as if it were my own. I bring that same level of "ownership" to protecting data and ensuring regulatory compliance. I’ve already submitted my application through the formal channels, but in the spirit of the entrepreneurial "Orange" culture, I wanted to reach out directly. I would love the opportunity to discuss how my background in GRC and my passion for the Home Depot brand can help strengthen your security posture. If anyone in my network has a connection to the Home Depot security or HR teams, I would be incredibly grateful for an introduction! #HomeDepot #Cybersecurity #GRC #CareerGrowth #Infosec #Hiring #TheHomeDepot #THD Bradford Kump Vince W. 📃 𝘼𝙄𝘽𝙊𝙈 - 𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙎𝘽𝙊𝙈 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙄 📃 If you work in software development or in cybersecurity, you've probably heard about SBOMs - Software Bills of Materials. SBOMs are an inventory of packages, modules, libraries, etc. that are included or referenced in an application. AI is everywhere now, and there's a definite need for a similar inventory that shows what models, datasets, training parameters, and software dependencies are included in an AI-powered application. That's where AIBOMs come in. https://lnkd.in/erhFVnm7

The 2026 State of Cyber Conference, hosted by InfraGard St. Louis, was a great success. The event featured strong cyber‑intelligence sharing, including real-world FBI cases that have been successfully resolved. Tim Brown’s lessons learned from the SolarWinds incident were particularly impactful, highlighting how vulnerability and transparency can be powerful leadership traits.

The attacker always gets a head start. That isn’t pessimism. It’s the physics of the job, and the people who do it well stopped arguing with it a long time ago. On 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟔 we’re going live with 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝟓 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞. Stephanie J. Hogen, Allen Debes, and Brian Gallagher are hosting Matt Meyers to talk cyber security in the age of AI. Matt is Senior Manager of Adversary Operations at The Home Depot. He’s also twenty-five years into the Air National Guard, where he’s deputy team lead of Connecticut’s cyber incident response team. AI did not hand defenders an advantage. It poured fuel into both tanks. Defenders can now cover more ground than any team could by hand, and attackers no longer need years of skill to do real damage. So, the question isn’t whether AI protects you. It’s where human judgment still must rule. October 6 | Live Discussion → Register at https://lnkd.in/gAmBSbB5

In collaboration with a number of other leaders and managers I wanted to post today about securitytitles.com . This is a website, dedicated to creating transparency around different roles, responsibilities and expectations. It’s also a template that leaders can use to create job descriptions with context and a few items to think about when creating the descriptions. Nothing about this is perfect, but it’s a good starting point for both sides of the conversation

Organized retail crime is constantly evolving, and the tactics used by these networks continue to become more sophisticated. Whether it's large-scale merchandise theft, online fencing operations, or emerging forms of fraud, these organizations are exploiting new tools and technologies to stay ahead. Our response must evolve just as quickly. I appreciated the opportunity to speak with CNBC about how organized retail crime is changing and why strong partnerships among retailers, law enforcement, and policymakers are more important than ever to protect our associates, customers, and communities. This is why legislation like the Combating Organized Retail Crime Act (CORCA), which would strengthen coordination and information sharing across jurisdictions, is so important. Thank you to CNBC for covering this important issue. Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dk8NQM_K [cnbc.com] CNBC Gabrielle Fonrouge U.S. Department of Homeland Security
