Tyler Irons reacted on thisTyler Irons reacted on thisAs I sit in the office on the last workday of the year, I can’t help but reflect on 2024—a year that has been both incredibly challenging and rewarding. Here’s a recap of the major highlights that shaped our journey this year: 1. Weathering the Storm in Nebraska This year threw some wild weather our way. From a devastating tornado in April to multiple hail claims and 100 mph winds that literally put a tree through my own roof, it’s been a whirlwind—literally and figuratively. Our team stepped up to help our clients navigate these claims with resilience and dedication. We had multiple total losses but it felt so great knowing I wrote the correct policy when meeting with adjusters and insured! 2. A New Home for the Office Moving to a new office was a big transition, but it brought fresh energy and excitement. The change in scenery has been a great boost for the team and our operations. 3. Adapting to New Technology We implemented a new phone system this year (Vonage)—a challenge, but one that has ultimately streamlined our communication and made us more efficient. Icing on the cake, the day we started using Vonage... was the day the tornado hit! Also monday.com has streamlined our leadership communication! 4. Achieving Remarkable Growth Despite all the challenges, we increased our revenue by an impressive 30%. This growth is a testament to the hard work, creativity, and determination of our entire team. 5. Changes in the Insurance Landscape With carriers pulling out of the home insurance market in Nebraska and new players like Geico entering, the market dynamics shifted significantly. Navigating these changes required adaptability and strategic thinking. 6. Welcoming New Team Members This year, we expanded our team with 4 new hires who have brought fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to the agency. It’s been wonderful to see our team grow in both size and strength. 7. Launching Innovative Features We proudly launched Quotamation Goals & Prospect features, enhancing how we serve our clients and manage our workflows. Innovation continues to be a cornerstone of our success. Cannot wait for 2025 and what we have in store for Quotamation! 8. First Agency Acquisition A milestone for us: acquiring our first existing book of business. This was a huge step forward and a proud moment in our agency’s history. Our 2nd one is underway! 9. National Recognition A highlight of the year was getting on the cover of The Rough Notes Company, Inc.! Being recognized as the agency of the month for November was an honor that capped off an extraordinary year. As we close out 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for my team, our clients, and all the opportunities and challenges that have helped us grow. I also want to thank Cyrus Jaffery for being an incredible leader whose vision always puts us ahead of the game and sets the standard for everyone in our agency!
