Fabio Iunis de Paula shared thisThe best photo of my week in New York is a subway sign. EXIT ⬆️ Two fellow GPs and I pointed at it on the 42nd Street platform, and it summed up LAVCA Week 2026 with ABVCAP: All the LPs are asking about DPI. All the GPs are hustling for exits. 😄 Three takeaways from the week: 1. Liquidity is the conversation. DFIs, family offices, insurers, funds of funds, CVCs: every room came back to distributions. Funds with a credible path to exit get the second meeting. 2. Differentiated thesis wins. Physical AI, meaning applied AI in the physical world, puts Indicator Capital right at the core of where the tech thesis is moving. It came up in every conversation, and it’s the edge of our Smart & Connected strategy: Brazil and the U.S. as one corridor. 3. Access is everything. Three days, every stakeholder in the Latin American capital stack, from panels on private markets, energy transition, infrastructure, and the new consumer to the hallway conversations where the real work gets done. This is the next chapter after the Physical AI summit at São Paulo Tech Week, if you missed it: https://lnkd.in/gUwZmb-t Next stop is China, where we take Brazil’s Physical AI opportunity to Lenovo and other Chinese multinationals. Follow the expedition: https://lnkd.in/gCu8-qAm New York, I want to thank you. — The Physical AI Summit brought together founders, investors and industry leaders to discuss how intelligence is moving beyond screens and software into machines, factories, infrastructure and the physical world — and what that transition may mean for Brazil and Latin America. #PhysicalAI #ArtificialIntelligence #Robotics #DeepTech #VentureCapital #IndicatorCapital

Fabio Iunis de Paula shared thisFrom the birthplace of Silicon Valley to the future of Physical AI. Standing outside the former headquarters of Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory—where the spark of Silicon Valley was lit—is a constant reminder that the biggest transformations happen when software meets the physical world. I recently sat down with Joel Risso for his #WorldTechTalks series to share how we view the next era of tech, cross-border venture capital, and where the real opportunities lie: Pioneering early: Indicator Capital launched our first fund back in 2016 with a core thesis on connected systems and AI—long before the current generative AI wave. The shift to Physical AI: The next frontier isn't just intelligence on a screen. It’s physical systems—robotics, sensors, edge hardware, and autonomous systems—bringing intelligence into the real world. The Brazil–Silicon Valley bridge: Why cross-border capital and global distribution models are key to scaling these technologies exponentially. It was a great 12-minute conversation bridging tech history with where we're deploying capital today. Fabio Iunis de Paula shared thisTwo days in Santa Catarina. Two very different — and equally important — conversations. I was honored to be invited as an international speaker at ACATE's 40th Anniversary alongside Steve Jones from Corum Group. The message I brought from Silicon Valley is simple, and I believe it deeply: 👉 Nobody has a monopoly on talent and creativity. Every founder in that room has the same raw material as any founder in San Francisco. What differs is access, network, and the courage to think globally from day one. "The plane doesn't make you international. The roots you build in each place do." 📍 Day 1 — Open Forum: From Local to Global Fundraising and international expansion strategies for the broader Santa Catarina tech ecosystem. 📍 Day 2 — ACATE 1Bi: Closed Forum A high-stakes conversation exclusively for founders of companies between R$35M and R$1B — focused on M&A, exits, and what comes next when you've already built something real. Santa Catarina's ecosystem is serious. The founders are hungry. The South of Brazil deserves far more attention from global investors — and I intend to keep making that case. Proud to have been part of ACATE's 40 years. 🇧🇷 #VentureCapital #Startups #Brazil #SiliconValley #ACATE #IndicadorCapital #SantaCatarina #CrossBorder #LatAm #BuildingValueTogether #Innovation ACATE - Associação Catarinense de Tecnologia (Catarinense Technology Association) Diego Brites Ramos Steve Jones Moacir Antonio Marafon Carolina Strobel Thomas Bittar Alejandro Norberto Lembo Derek L. Fabio Iunis de Paula shared thisPerfeito Alejandro Norberto Lembo! Fabio Iunis de Paula shared thisMet a humanoid robot named Jarvis at #BSV2026 early this month, the main theme this year: "BEYOND HUMAN SCALE". He had a conference badge. He was networking better than most people I know. But the most powerful thing I saw all week wasn't the robot. It was the room. Hundreds of Brazilians — founders, investors, engineers, policy makers — gathered Google in Silicon Valley with one shared conviction: this is our moment. João (Joe) Moura (CrewAI) nailed it with a soccer analogy: Brazil can't only play defense — optimizing costs, cutting headcount, gaining efficiency. That's important, but it's not enough. We need to attack. New business models. Entirely new categories powered by AI. Things that simply were not possible before. What gave me real hope? Rio de Janeiro showing up with a moonshot mindset. Sidney Levy from Invest.Rio laid out a serious plan — a city betting on radical innovation, not incremental change. And the fact that Rio's current mayor (Eduardo Cavaliere) is himself a founder and entrepreneur says everything about the shift happening in the Brazilian government. One of the highlights for me this year: seeing Indicator Capital portfolio founders showing up, connecting, and representing at the highest level — Filipe Lucatelli Borges (ctasmart / link2pump), Victor Vilas Boas Cavalcanti (Infleet - Gestão de Frotas), Rogerio Cavalcante (umgrauemeio), Fernando Montera Filho (Doji), and Caio Barbosa (Lumx). Builders putting Brazilian deep tech on the global map. This is exactly why we invest. And grateful as always to connect with some of our investors Stephanie N. (Qualcomm Ventures), and the Vivo (Telefônica Brasil) family — Wana Schulze, Christian Gebara, Alex Salgado, Rodrigo Gruner, Dante Compagno — year after year, BSV is where this community comes together. Stop at the edge? Not this generation. **The world is not zero-sum. And Brazil is finally playing to win.** #BSV2026 #Brazil #AI #Startups #Moonshot #SiliconValley #IndicatorCapital #BuildingValueTogether #TechInnovation #SmartAndConnected Astro Teller Kevin Efrusy Ivan Yoon Andy Tsao Bill McDermott Mike Krieger Victor Lazarte Christina Lopes Gabriel Vasquez Scott Brady Avanish Sahai Mat Velloso Ronjon Nag

Me parece um plano lúcido." E me fez levantar.

This Tuesday, we’re dropping my conversation with Bruno Maimone , Head of Warburg Pincus in Brazil. Bruno is one of my absolute favorite people in Brazilian growth investing—and someone who has had a real impact on how I think about investing, value creation and the opportunity in Brazilian tech. We cover a lot: AI becoming a bigger tectonic shift than the internet. Why nobody is going to vibe-code the regulated software running banks and asset managers. The extraordinary data advantage hiding inside Jusbrasil. And the eye-popping $100 million Warburg spends every year helping good companies become exceptional ones (yes, you read that correctly). Bruno also reflects on being part of the teams that invested early in companies like Stone and XP—and how those experiences shaped the investor he is today. Tuesday. 7 a.m. ET. 👀

Brazil is the convergence point in Latin America. Over the three days of #SouthSummitBrazil26, “Human by Design” meant one thing: people at the center. Today, one of those people shares the story of +24.000 attendees from +70 countries. Being at South Summit means placing yourself at the heart of the ecosystem. Listening, asking, and connecting are amplified by AI, helping align people, ideas, and goals while strengthening long-term relationships. That’s why +3.000 startups, +7.000 corporations, and +1.000 investors managing +250B$ in funds under management come together around this vision. The convergence is not only technological. It is also geographic, economic, and cultural. Cais Mauá is where these flows meet. Porto Alegre and Rio Grande do Sul have become the place where Latin America connects. We design the stage, we bring the people, we are the catalyst. See you all next year! www.southsummit.io

Latin America just got its first AI unicorn. 🦄 2.5 years ago, Enter began with a bold goal: build a global AI company from Brazil. This vision has became reality. We're proud to have participated in Enter's $100M+ Series B at a $1.2B valuation, led by Founders Fund, alongside Ribbit Capital, Sequoia Capital, ONEVC, and KASZEK. The numbers behind this: - Revenue 10Xed since their Series A - Client base tripled - 300,000+ lawsuits go through EnterOS each year - Clients include the legal departments of Bradesco, Nubank, Mercado Libre, Airbnb, LATAM Airlines, Azul, and 40+ other major enterprises Enter's AI agents work alongside in-house legal teams and partner law firms to manage entire litigation portfolios, civil and labor, handling everything from drafting defenses to negotiating settlements. The outcome: higher win rates and billions in savings for clients. This goes beyond the round itself. It's proof that world-class AI companies can be built from Latin America, for the world. Congratulations to the entire Enter team!

Excited to be speaking today at Web Summit on “The New World Order of Capital.” As global capital is being reshaped by geopolitics, climate pressures, AI, and supply chain realignment, one theme is becoming increasingly clear: The future will not be built only in Silicon Valley. Some of the most important investment opportunities of the coming decades are emerging where technology intersects with real-world challenges: food security, climate resilience, energy transition, and sustainable industrialization. Latin America—and particularly Brazil—sits at the center of this transformation. From agricultural biologicals and AI-driven finance to carbon markets and regenerative agriculture, a new generation of entrepreneurs is building solutions that matter not only for our region, but for the world. Looking forward to sharing perspectives on how capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship are converging to shape this new era. Incredible honor to share the stage with Tamara Steffens and Pedro Teo. #WebSummit #VentureCapital #ClimateTech #AgTech #FoodSecurity #Innovation #Brazil #LatinAmerica #FutureOfCapital

What gives a VC an edge that most investors simply don't have? Miguel Bagulho, Investment Director for Retail Technology at Bright Pixel Capital, discussed with Paula Macaggi the one advantage that sets his firm apart from typical venture capital players. "Comparing to the most typical VCs that don't have the asset that we have in Sonae, the retail knowledge domain, the industry domain that we have, I think we have that advantage." That privileged access, paired with years of specialization in retail tech, shapes how Bright Pixel builds its investment thesis around every startup it considers, an edge most venture capital firms simply don't have. 👉 Find the full interview on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
