Really looking forward to a few days of learning, meeting more people across the tech community, and catching up with some familiar faces. I’m especially excited to see Leon Noel, our Managing Director of Engineering at Resilient Coders, speak. I’m also looking forward to hearing from Danny Thompson, Bree H., Briana Bradshaw, Kerline M., Roxy Rodriguez-Becker, Sara Baqla, Linda Thompson , Quincy Larson, and fellow RC alum Nyah Macklin, who’s built an impressive career of her own. Some are friends, and others I’ve gotten to know through coffee chats, events, and the broader tech community, so it’ll be great to reconnect with everyone and support what they’re bringing to CYC. I’ve also got my eye on sessions across software engineering, developer tooling, frontend architecture, cloud, testing, AI, and the hands on workshops. One of my favorite parts of going to conferences like this is getting outside of my usual bubble, seeing what other people are building, and coming home with new ideas. As a Product Manager (who has lived in Jira for a decade), I honestly find this one of the most interesting agentic products I want to try! Not another chatbot on the side, but agents that actually work inside planning, orchestrating, and tracking projects. The part of the job that eats my week includes chasing status and keeping the board honest, prioritized, and relevant to all these 33 Slack & Client escalations.
