First, it's been in post-production for a couple of weeks. We finished out shoot on April 19th, with a couple of small pickups the following week. Then we handed off all of our footage to our editor, Poncho Navarro. So what does post-production entail? Let's lay it out. 1] Editing: Sometimes this term is used for all of post-production, but it has a specific meaning. The editor's job is to look at all the footage and "find the story" there. Ideally, the editor is someone who isn't too attached to specific shots and is willing to ruthlessly cut and trim anything that doesn't contribute to the core story. After all of that cutting and splicing and back-and-forth, the editor creates the "final assembly" or "picture lock". Once the editing is done, there are a few steps that can happen in parallel. 2] Colouring: This is where a professional "colourist" gives the film its desired look and feel. This includes not just manipulating colours, but also balancing exposure, brightness and other visual attributes. 3] Music: A composer or music supervisor either creates or collects music to use for the film, going through the overall story as well as each scene to figure out the music that enhances the story. These two steps lead to ... 4] Sound mixing and design: All of the audio of the film is mixed for it to sound ready to play. This may also include sound effects such as phones or street noises. 5] Special effects (VFX): Any special visual effects, including phone screens or transitions. All of these count as post-production! We have an amazing offer from Picture Shop, a top post-production house in Toronto who's willing to take on our little project at an "indie" film rate. This would get us the quality of folks that usually work on top TV shows, and will ensure that this film gets the best possible visual and audio treatment. If you're excited to see that happen, we'd highly appreciate some contributions towards post-production. Go to our website below in the comments and help us finish this amazing film. Here's a still from the film, with our lead actors Zara Jestadt and Praneet Akilla

Anders Hoff liked thisAnders Hoff liked thisIt’s been a year since I became a mompreneur - building Femme Palette while raising our daughter. I didn’t know what to expect - could I do both? Could I be a good mom and run a business at the same time? I think I did well. The business is growing, I spend quality time with my daughter, and even though it’s been anything but easy, I’m proud that I’ve managed to do both. Looking back at this past year, what made it possible was a lot of planning, open communication with my partner, external support, flexible hours, and an independent team. Surprisingly, work has helped my sanity - it has helped me feel like “me” and actually more present. Do I constantly feel guilty about not spending enough time with my daughter? Of course. I had to say goodbye to uninterrupted work and get used to spreading my work into sprints, working late evenings, and constantly adjusting. Balancing career and motherhood isn’t just about work and kids. It also means making space for your family, for yourself, for fitness, and for friends. So here’s to another year of trying to do it all - in the beautiful chaos of motherhood. 🫶 #motherhood #mompreneur

Verden trenger dere ❤️

Anders Hoff liked thisAnders Hoff liked thisWe just dropped a highly requested addition to our AI image tools: Vectorize. Now you can turn raster images into editable vectors directly on the Figma canvas. That means no more tool hopping or recreating things from scratch in order to tweak and refine designs. Whether you’re starting from a napkin sketch or taking inspiration from a saved screenshot, your ideas shouldn’t be held back by your tools. Excited to see what the community builds! https://lnkd.in/gsKnjG9J

AI UX Patterns: My Go-To for Designing Better Experiences When working on AI-driven experiences, I’ve realized that getting the UX right is as critical as the model itself. It’s not just about making AI functional and throwing responses faster; it’s about making it understandable, trustworthy, and delightful for users. Over the past couple of months, these platforms have become my go-to references for fine-tuning experiences and learning AI UX best practices: ➡️ https://www.shapeof.ai/ ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gW8Whs3a ➡️ https://lnkd.in/grkZeVBE They offer real-world examples and design patterns that help answer questions like: ✔ How do we explain AI decisions clearly? ✔ How do we design for uncertainty? ✔ How do we make interactions feel natural? If you’re building new-age AI experiences, start here. They’ve helped me move faster and design smarter—and I’m sure they’ll inspire you too. #ai #ux #aiux #userexperiencedesign #AIUX #productdesign

Heuristic Evaluation in 2025: Still Relevant or Time for an Upgrade? Jakob Nielsen’s 10 usability heuristics have been the foundation of UX for decades. But in 2025, with AI-driven interfaces, adaptive design, and multi-modal experiences, we need to evolve. While core principles like consistency and feedback remain critical, emerging heuristics now include AI transparency, personalization ethics, and cross-device continuity. Heuristic evaluation isn’t outdated—it’s expanding. UX professionals must blend classic usability checks with new-age context to ensure products remain intuitive, trustworthy, and human-centered. Are you adapting your heuristic toolkit? Share your thoughts. #UXDesign #Usability #HeuristicEvaluation #DesignThinking #AIUX #UXTrends2025

An interesting shift happens when designing outcome-first interfaces. The role of design changes from control to influence. We go from dictating steps to curating possibilities. This is especially true with LLMs, where the primary material is words, and outcomes have to be guided instead of shaped.
