Alan Moss shared thisI recently had the pleasure of speaking at an Executive Partner Summit to share with vendors new ways that we can be working with brands. The highlight was being joined onstage by Michelle Crossan-Matos, Chief Brand and Experience Officer at SharkNinja, to talk about an exciting opportunity for brands: how Sponsored Prompts are more than an advertising tool. They're helping brands see what customers are really weighing when making a purchase decision — and turning that signal into both stronger sales and sharper brand marketing strategy. For fun, I also had the privilege of testing out an Amazon electric cargo bike — the kind now delivering packages in urban neighborhoods from New York to Los Angeles. A smart, sustainable way to reach customers in denser communities. Thank you to Michelle and our vendor partners for a great day.

Alan Moss shared thisIt’s a wrap on another amazing unBoxed. We had Martha Stewart, the Black Keys, and so much more. Great to see so many customers and partners engaging with our teams. The highlight for me was opening the 2026 Amazon Ads Partner Awards. Celebrating the innovation of our partners is an annual traditional that's a special privilege. This year, it was highly competitive with submissions from partners across 25 countries and eight categories. What stays with me are the stories: what happens when expertise, creativity, and real partnership come together to grow a business. Here's what I find most exciting — our partners don't wait for the future of advertising to arrive. They build for their customers, every day. Congratulations to every finalist and winner. Partners set the standard, and you make our whole industry better. I can't wait to see what you build next. Thank you for an unforgettable week. See you at unBoxed 2027 in New York.

Alan Moss shared thisSeptember is shaping up to be a big month for me — and not only for the reason you might expect. I have the honor of walking my daughter down the aisle. It's the kind of moment that puts work and life balance in perspective. I'm soaking up every second of it. A couple days later, it's on to San Francisco for unBoxed, September 28–30. I've been in this business a long time, and I can tell you the pace of change right now is unlike anything I've seen. The innovation our leaders are going to share on the keynote stage reflects the new thinking on how customers discover, compare, and decide, and how our partners can grow with them. I'll also have the privilege of helping celebrate our partners at the Partner Awards on Monday night which is one of my favorite evenings of the year, because it's all about the work of our customers. See you all in San Francisco.

Alan Moss reposted thisAlan Moss reposted thisThis one is really cool! One of the measurement challenges in automotive is connecting digital engagement to what ultimately matters: vehicle sales. Hyundai Motor Company is showing how that gap can be narrowed with Amazon Ads and Amazon Marketing Cloud, Amazon Autos, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). By bringing together Amazon Ads media signals, Amazon Autos shopping engagement, and Hyundai’s own dealership sales data in a privacy-enhancing environment, Hyundai was able to better understand the relationship between advertising, shopping engagement, and verified offline outcomes. The work also surfaced insights Hyundai could act on, from reducing duplicated audience reach to improving campaign efficiency. Wins all around! Alan Moss shared thisMultiple family members, colleagues, and friends had already recommended it, so when my wife downloaded "Theo of Golden" on Audible, I figured it was time and I’m so glad I dove in. Theo of Golden, by Allen Levi, became my favorite read of the summer. It's a story about being truly seen — about a character who reminds an entire town that it's not what you've accomplished, it's how you show up with humanity for others. That message stuck with me. As for the Audible format: Some books just come to life with the right narrator, and this was one of them. Engaging enough to make the miles disappear, making it perfect for long summer drives. I'm curious: what was your best read this summer, and how did you read it — physical book, Kindle, or Audible? Drop it in the comments. 👇

Alan Moss reposted thisAlan Moss reposted thisAI has become such an enabler for scientific innovation … when you know what you're doing. The question of how AI accelerates scientific development keeps coming up, and it prompted me to revisit a problem from my PhD 15 years ago: creating optimal sales routes under uncertain demand and revenue. Back then, it took me weeks to months to design and implement the models and test them. A few weeks ago, I downloaded AWS's Kiro, gave it context about my papers, and asked it to replicate these algorithms. With minimal effort (hours, not months!), it replicated most of them. With additional prompting, it found further efficiencies for scalability and speed. But more importantly, it freed me to focus almost entirely on inventing: exploring extensions and variations that integrated other research and further improved the solutions. I'm seeing this in my team too. When asked to enable specific Advertising Sales initiatives, we turned results around in weeks — data pipelines, model training, compelling reports, and a working prototype with UI. Before AI, this would have taken months. We went deeper into hyperparameter tuning, tested more model versions, and reframed our modeling approach to capture more nuance about advertisers and their growth journeys. The result: performance improvements beyond anything we've seen before AND increased job satisfaction, since the team spends more time innovating and less time implementing. What’s common between both situations is that the people working on it deeply understood the underlying scientific approaches and the domain they operate in, allowing them to understand what the AI tool is doing, inspect its quality and guide it toward the right solution. The future of science isn't scientists versus AI. It's scientists using AI to explore more ideas, test more hypotheses, and innovate faster. We're hiring Applied Scientists who are excited about that future. → https://lnkd.in/gSqKEAvK #AppliedScience #AI #MachineLearning #Amazon #Hiring Amazon Careers

Alan Moss reposted thisAlan Moss reposted thisMeasurement just got a major upgrade. 🚀 Accenture Song just launched the Marketing Investment Navigator — a first-of-its-kind AI-native platform that unifies marketing mix modeling, attribution, sales lift, and brand lift into a single enterprise-scale solution. It's powered by Amazon Ads data and agentic AI to analyze cross-channel media performance, giving marketers both the strategic big picture AND the tactical clarity to decide where to move budget next. This is exactly where the industry needs to go — breaking down measurement silos so brands can optimize investments with confidence, not guesswork. Alan Moss liked thisAlan Moss liked thisStill buzzing from our 2nd Annual Amazon Ads Beauty & Fashion Summit, where industry leaders explored how brands are connecting with consumers at the intersection of culture, entertainment, and commerce. I had the privilege of sitting down with Branden Goodman, Chief Digital Officer at Liquid I.V. to dive into the powerful, 360-degree brand integration behind Off Campus — one of 2026’s most talked-about shows — and how entertainment can create meaningful connections between brands and consumers. Grateful to our partners for their collaboration, creativity, and shared vision. Excited for what we can continue to build together! 🚀 💄

When it's strong, it's a force-multiplier: two people seeking opportunities, grappling with issues, and lighting the Board and management team on fire to move a company forward. That's how Sean Aggarwal shows up as Lyft's Board Chair. No wonder he's just been named to the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) Directorship 100! Sean guided us from an SF startup through our IPO to sustained profitability. Now as he's doing the same as we move into our next chapter of growth, driven by international expansion, premium rides, and autonomous vehicles. Through it all he's built and lead the team with with rigor and poise Huge congratulations, Sean. Here’s to 10 great years and many more. https://lnkd.in/gqax-ZBn

Alan Moss liked thisAlan Moss liked thisAlmost 37 years ago, I walked into the American Express Tower in New York City to fulfill a dream: to work for a company known for its iconic brand, marketing prowess, and extraordinary people. In March 2027, I’ll walk out of that same tower, over three decades later, having fulfilled that dream and so, so much more. Yes, I’m retiring! As I reflect on this incredible journey, I’m filled with gratitude for #TeamAmex. For me, it has always been, and always will be, about the people. To my Amex colleagues, past and present, thank you for your partnership, friendship and unwavering commitment to powerfully backing our customers and for being with me on this incredible journey. I’m excited for my next chapter as an Amex alum and to spend more time with my family and friends, whose love and support I’ve leaned on every step of the way. There’s still important work ahead and I look forward to spending the coming months supporting our colleagues, customers, and our next generation of leaders.

Alan Moss liked thisAlan Moss liked thisOn the 14th anniversary of the deaths of Lulu and Leo, here's a (very) personal story about the magical energy they still bring to our lives. As amazing and inspiring as this story is, the experience itself was even more magical. What Marina doesn't mention is that I was sobbing as I recited these lines from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry not so far from where he was stranded in the Sahara: “All men have stars, but they are not the same things for different people. For some, who are travelers, the stars are guides. For others they are no more than little lights in the sky. For others, who are scholars, they are problems...But all these stars are silent. You - You alone will have stars as no one else has them...In one of the stars I shall be living. In one of them I shall be laughing. And so it will be as if all the stars will be laughing when you look at the sky at night...You, only you, will have stars that can laugh! And when your sorrow is comforted (time soothes all sorrows) you will be content that you have known me... You will always be my friend.” https://lnkd.in/ekVUgw9j

Alan Moss liked thisAlan Moss liked thisBeing a good neighbour starts with the small things... Today, Amazon opened its first Community Banana Stands in Canada! You'll find them in Toronto (Scotia Plaza) and Vancouver (The Post). Every Wednesday morning starting at 8:30 a.m. local time, our "Banistas" will hand out free bananas to anyone passing by. They even have dog treats on hand for the pups who tag along. It's a simple idea with a bigger purpose. The communities where we operate are more than addresses on a map. They're the people we share a sidewalk with every day. A free banana and a good morning is one small way to say we're glad to be part of the neighbourhood. Proud to see this program take root in Canada, and grateful to the team who brought it to life. 🍌 #AmazonCanada #BananaStand

Excited to share that Pinterest has entered into an agreement to acquire tvScientific, a leading connected TV (CTV) performance advertising platform. This acquisition will build on our existing partnership with tvScientific and expand how Pinterest can help advertisers reach people across multiple screens, including connected TV. By combining Pinterest’s AI-powered intent signals with tvScientific’s outcome-focused CTV technology, advertisers will be able to measure how TV drives results alongside search, social and Pinterest campaigns. This is another step forward in our mission to help people move from inspiration to action while giving brands the tools to reach them more effectively. Integrating tvScientific’s technology into our automation and AI-powered advertising products will accelerate our work to build a full-funnel, multiscreen performance solution. I’m thrilled about the possibilities ahead and what we’ll build together with tvScientific. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gXcqFTU7

Christopher Vollmer nails something many teams quietly feel every February: the Super Bowl exposes the gap between cultural moments and sustained growth. Spending $10M on 30 seconds is not the strategy. It is the spotlight. The real question is what happens on Monday. The creator lens makes this even clearer. Culture does not move in campaigns anymore. It moves through ecosystems. Through creators, communities, and fandoms that compound attention over time. A single Super Bowl ad can spark awareness. A culturally fluent creator can drive participation. An organization built to connect story to commerce can convert that participation into durable growth. That requires more than media dollars. It requires enterprise capability. The brands winning today are not chasing cultural hits. They are building culture into their operating model. They are collapsing silos between brand and performance, content and commerce, insight and execution. They treat creators not as placements, but as infrastructure inside a flywheel. Chris' piece is a sharp articulation of that shift. If you care about the future of growth, this is worth your time. cc MediaLink United Talent Agency

With performance reviews happening now, and economic uncertainty shaping year-end decisions, many workers are paying close attention to how their year-end bonus stacks up and other incentives if monetary rewards fall short. In a recent KUNS ARC Seattle interview, Robert Half technology jobs expert Megan Slabinski breaks down what these trends mean for employees and managers. "It's really important to highlight other ways you can incentivize and ultimately retain staff. Employees tell us flexibility is critical, remote day options, additional PTO, or windowed work schedules, especially during the holiday season when so much is on everyone's plate." She also encourages workers to stay aware of their company's overall performance to help them better understand, set realistic expectations, and confidently navigate bonus conversations with employers. #yearendbonus #RobertHalf #workplacetrends

Great example of how the Prologis team is putting AI and agents to work. Thank you Luke Slotwinski, SVP of Enterprise Data Systems & A at Prologis, for sharing what it takes to run industrial space pricing at scale with more than 100 models built in Dataiku, pushed directly into sales via APIs, and operated as part of everyday decision-making rather than as a separate analytics exercise. At our NYC Summit last year, Luke shared another great use case: an agent embedded into DocuSign that reviews lease contracts, checks critical clauses, and routes edge cases back to humans when judgment is needed. It works in real time and in batch, across thousands of leases, while remaining transparent for legal teams.

One month until Work Innovation Summit NYC 🗽 There is so much to look forward to: We’ll hear from FedEx on how they used AI workflows in Asana to redesign the full go-to-market journey from intake through launch, leading to 9x faster results. And we'll learn from RBC on how their enterprise marketing ops team uses Asana to automate the repetitive coordination work of validating intake, routing requests, and only flagging when what actually needs a human decision. And to close it out, our own Asana power users will show how the marketing org uses Agentic Work Management across global campaign planning, alignment, and activation to transform the speed and efficiency for the team. See you there on Oct. 14: https://lnkd.in/gs-5w7Bq
