Track & Boost Your Brand’s Visibility in AI Search (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and 10+ AI Platforms)
About us
Writesonic is the complete GEO/AEO platform that tracks your brand's AI search visibility, identifies where competitors beat you, and executes the fixes—creating new content, refreshing existing pages, earning citations, and engaging on Reddit. In partnership with Microsoft, we're helping brands improve their presence on AI Search i.e. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) - because 89% of B2B buyers now use AI for research, and if you're not in those answers, you're not in the deal. What Writesonic does differently: We don't just track AI visibility - we fix it. Our GEO platform shows exactly where ChatGPT and 10+ other AI platforms mention competitors instead of you, then gives you the playbook: - Which high-authority sites AI trusts (TechRadar, Reddit, etc.) - What content actually gets cited and why - How to fix technical barriers blocking AI crawlers - Real AI search volumes from 120M+ conversations Plus AI agents that automate your entire marketing workflow - SEO and content strategy, content creation and optimization, distribution. What takes teams weeks, we do in hours. Used by 13,000+ marketers. 15,000+ five-star reviews across G2, Trustpilot, and Capterra. Backed by YC and leading investors: - HOF Capital (Uber, Stripe, Alibaba) - Rebel Fund (founded by Instacart, Reddit founders) - Soma Capital (Deel, Rippling, Razorpay) - Amino Capital (Zoom, Webflow, Rippling)

ChatGPT's brand citation rate fell from 57% to 47% in one model update. GPT-5.5 cites brands 47% of the time, down from 57% on GPT-5.4. GPT-5.3 sits at 13%. We analyzed 150 ChatGPT conversations across all three models. 1,821 fan-out queries. 11,469 web results. 1,257 citations classified. The mechanism: GPT-5.4 used Google's site: operator on 40.5% of its searches to force-scope onto brand domains. GPT-5.5 cut that to 12.6%. A 3.2x drop that explains almost every other shift in the data. The surprise: that 10-point average hides 26-point swings by category. Fitness, travel, and ecommerce brands gained visibility under GPT-5.5. Legal, education, marketing, and food brands lost it. A SaaS client and a fitness client will see opposite directional shifts under the same model update. Full breakdown, all results, and the extraction script in the comments:

AI search has became a paid + organic channel. Writesonic now tracks ads inside ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews, alongside organic AI visibility. That matters because the answer page is no longer one thing. A brand can be: - cited as a source - mentioned in the AI answer - shown as a sponsored placement - missing from the conversation entirely And all of that can change by prompt. The new search surface is here. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dM-Ej7vv

80% of LLM citations don’t even rank in Google for the original query. (Source: Louise L., Ahrefs) Answer engines don’t choose sources the same way traditional search engines do. And therefore, the way you optimize content for both platforms should also be different. In my latest article for Writesonic, I break down exactly how I optimize content for AI. Thank you to Sonakshi Garg and Writesonic for publishing this blog post. And shout out to these experts for their amazing insights and studies on answer engine optimization: ⭐ Kevin Indig, Growth Advisor ⭐ Jamie Thomson, Founder of Brand New Copy ⭐ Chris Green, Technical Director at Torque Partnership ⭐ Yulia Deda, Content Marketing Manager at SE Ranking ⭐ Kristavja Caci, Head of Content at ZeroRank AI (Link in the comments below 👇)

We launched bansi AI on Product Hunt today, and it's already trending. Every AI video tool went after short-form. We went the other direction, and honestly, we knew we were onto something the moment we started using it ourselves. Watching hours of editing collapse into minutes every single time. That feeling doesn't get old. Today everyone gets to feel that. 📌 Edit your first video for free: https://bansi.ai/ Support us on Product Hunt: https://lnkd.in/dTsaw_Hr

ChatGPT ads tracking is now live on Writesonic. OpenAI started testing ads inside ChatGPT on Feb 9. Six weeks later, the pilot was already at $100M+ annualized, with a $2.5B target for 2026. Sponsored placements now appear right below ChatGPT answers, in the spot where users decide what to click next. If you only track mentions and citations, you're missing that moment. Writesonic now tracks paid placements in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews alongside organic AI visibility. Same dashboard. Filter to one, or view both side by side. Sign up to see how ads are showing up in your category. Link in the comments.

“AEO is trending.” That is the shallow read. The bigger story is that marketers are finally searching for the consequences of AI search, not just the novelty of it. The problem has become real enough to name. You can call it "Answer Engine Optimization" or "Generative Engine Optimization". And once a market names the problem, the first ones to crack the solution have a lot to gain.

500M AI searches later, one thing is clear: Most teams can measure AI visibility. Far fewer can improve it. A dashboard can tell you your brand is missing from ChatGPT, Gemini, or AI Overviews. It usually cannot tell you what to fix first. On April 22, our Founder and CEO, Samanyou Garg, is joining Search Engine Journal for a session on what actually improves AI search visibility and citations. We will break down: - the signals behind AI citations - the GEO actions that actually move visibility - how to turn gap alerts into execution with AI agents and open-source tools If your team is still tracking the problem more than fixing it, this session is for you.
