This week, we became our own customer. We successfully migrated our company from wpgc.io to wpgc.ai, while moving from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. It was a smooth transition—not because migrations are easy, but because we've done them many times for our clients. Careful planning, testing, and execution make all the difference. Welcome to WPGC.ai. 🚀 #Domainmigration #Microsoft365migration #CloudMigration #Googletomicrosoft #ITInfrastructure #MSP #WPG

  • Most contractors are getting CMMC wrong before they write a single policy. The reason? They haven't answered the most important question first: What type of data are you actually handling? ->If you only handle Federal Contract Information (FCI) → you're likely at Level 1. ->If you also touch Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) → you're at Level 2. That one distinction changes your entire compliance program. And the stakes are real — at Level 1, there are no Plans of Action allowed. Miss one requirement and you're non-compliant, period. Yet contractors routinely skip scoping and jump straight to controls — either over-engineering or dangerously under-building their programs. Start with your data. Everything else follows. Not sure where you land? WPG Consulting helps companies get the scoping right from day one.

  • CMMC Phase II is currently suspended. The Department of War has paused the November 10 deadline and initiated a 60-day review of the entire program. This development will be closely watched as thousands of defense contractors will soon demonstrate whether they were genuinely building security programs or merely acquiring certificates. For those whose entire cyber efforts were focused on passing a CMMC assessment, the reason to continue has been lost. Budgets will be retracted, projects will come to a halt, and in 60 days, there will be a scramble to restart once the new requirements are announced. On the other hand, if you have established a program to effectively manage risk, today’s announcement changes nothing. NIST 800-171 remains enforced, and DFARS 7012 is still part of your contracts. Adversaries targeting the Defense Industrial Base are not aware of this press release and will not cease their activities. • Well said, Sagar Parikh, engineering can be humbling at the best of times!

One thing I've learned as a Network Engineer is that users don't remember when everything works. They remember when it doesn't. A stable network isn't built by chance. It's built through planning, monitoring, documentation, testing, and sometimes late-night troubleshooting sessions. Every firewall update, VPN migration, wireless deployment, and outage investigation teaches something new. 🚀 Still learning every day. #Networking #CCIE #NetworkEngineer #CyberSecurity #Infrastructure #ITOperations

  • For our clients in banking, the conversation often revolves around identifying the next great AI use case. However, the challenge lies not in generating ideas but in navigating the complex landscape of stakeholders involved in bringing those ideas to fruition. The real work begins when you need to secure approvals from various departments such as Architecture, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Model Risk, Operational Risk, and Procurement. Each of these areas plays a critical role in ensuring that AI solutions are implemented responsibly and effectively. This serves as a reminder that successful AI adoption is not solely about innovation; it requires robust governance and collaboration to advance ideas responsibly. To talk more about how we are helping clients navigate AI, cybersecurity, compliance, and all of the various audits, please reach out to our team sales@wpgc.io #cybersecurity #pe #diligence #ai #altinvestment

Most network outages I've seen weren't caused by hardware failure. They were caused by a config change someone was "90% sure about." The 10% doubt is the part you document before you push — not after the rollback at 2am. Three things I now always do before any change window: → Worst-case blast radius, written down → Rollback step tested in lab, not assumed → Someone else reads the plan cold The network doesn't care how experienced you are. #Networking #NetworkEngineering #ITOps #CareerLessons #Cisco #CCIE

  • Our own Scott Simon just shared the below: There is a noticeable shift from selling infrastructure to enabling AI economies. As the demand for inference surpasses that for training, it is crucial that scalable compute access and sustainable business models gain equal importance alongside model innovation. We are seeing GPUs, power, resources, and data center space itself continue to become more valuable. The future winners in this space will be those who can ensure that AI capacity is accessible, efficient, and economically viable.

AI is shifting from model training to always-on token production, and that shift demands a new business model. NVIDIA is partnering with AI clouds to deploy large‑scale, multi‑tenant AI factories through revenue-sharing and credit-support. This opens up compute access to the fast‑growing AI ecosystem of startups, model builders, enterprises, research organizations and regional AI players. 🔗 Read more: https://nvda.ws/4bkMsJM

  • Investing in network security assessments provides significant benefits that extend beyond merely "checking a box." For enterprises and growing businesses in NYC, the returns manifest in increased uptime, reduced risk, and enhanced confidence when clients pose challenging security inquiries. Key benefits include: -Reduced downtime and faster recovery: By pinpointing single points of failure, such as inadequately protected backups or vulnerable remote access, businesses can minimize the likelihood of outages or significantly shorten their duration if they do occur. -Stronger protection against ransomware and data theft: Assessments reveal weak administrative controls, exposed services, and lateral movement pathways—elements that modern attackers exploit. -Better prioritization: Rather than pursuing hundreds of low-impact vulnerabilities, a professional assessment organizes issues by their exploitability and business impact, allowing for more effective remediation. -Improved compliance posture: Many NYC businesses must navigate frameworks and regulations such as NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, the NY SHIELD Act, and industry standards like HIPAA or PCI DSS, depending on their operations. -Client trust and sales enablement: In New York City’s B2B market, security questionnaires and vendor reviews are commonplace. A recent assessment report and remediation plan can expedite deal closures. -More effective IT support: Your IT team, whether internal or outsourced, receives a clear, actionable list of improvements—such as hardening, monitoring, patching, and access controls—linked to desired outcomes. Ultimately, assessments shift security from reactive firefighting to a proactive, predictable program. #pci #hippa #cybersecurity

  • AI is transforming the operations of network and security teams, showcasing its immense potential. It can process vast amounts of data and conduct analyses at speeds unattainable by humans. Additionally, AI can automate repetitive tasks and enhance observability through intelligent alerts. However, it is crucial to recognize that AI cannot be held accountable. Ultimately, the responsibility lies with humans, which is what fortifies security operations. For conversations around compliance, cybersecurity trends, and AI platform adoption, please reach out. #ai #cybersecurity #nyc #mssp #msp
