LLMs can’t “watch” your videos, but they *can* read transcripts and metadata. That’s why we built LLM-friendly embeds. Smart breakdown from Emily Kramer on why this matters. 👇
YouTube has overtaken Reddit as the top cited social source by LLMs. But there’s more you should be doing to make sure your videos can actually be interpreted by LLMs... Here’s the state of AI video visibility today: > LLMs don’t “watch” video like humans do > When LLMs cite YouTube or surface video content, they almost always rely on text metadata, not raw video files > YouTube iframes hide that text from crawlers > Updating your embeds with transcript information and hosting them on your site can help LLMs better understand your content Some frontier models can process video internally in controlled contexts, but that’s not how web-scale discovery or citation works today...maybe in the future. In short: how you embed matters. And for now, you should use Wistia for this. They built LLM embeds you just copy and paste. These work like regular embeds, but make transcripts and metadata easier for LLMs to parse. I chatted with Chris Savage during our MKT1 Unboxing about why and how Wistia built LLM-friendly embeds in this clip. And for more from video marketing knowledge from Chris Savage 🐐 (I've been watching his videos on video marketing for almost 15 years!), watch the full MKT1 Unboxing on YouTube! Things are changing fast, but Wistia is a one-stop shop for teams who want their video strategy to work in the AI era. #WistiaPartner, customer, fan

The holiday decorations are (mostly) packed away, but we couldn’t resist sharing one more cozy moment. Each year, our team comes together to create something special: a collaborative video made up of real moments captured across homes, families, traditions, and time zones. We call it “Home for the Holidays.” It's a reminder that “home” looks different for everyone, and that sharing those stories brings us closer, especially at work. At Wistia, we believe storytelling brings people closer. When we share what matters beyond the screen, we spark empathy, connection, and a sense of belonging.
