I saw a post yesterday confidently declaring the "decline" of the Recruiting/Staffing Agency industry. Having worked both agency-side (my precious industry!) and Corporate TA, I've got to say: that narrative is missing the mark. As The Beatles sang, "I get by with a little help from my friends"—and sometimes, that friend is a strategic recruitment partner - Like Wildflower Recruitment! Here's my defense and a little perspective on where the market truly sits: 1️⃣ Not All Fees Fund Fancy Offices 🏝️ The elephant in the room is always cost. Yes, some agencies charge MASSIVE fees to fund luxury perks and bougie office spaces. But unsustainable, poor internal hiring practices can be far more costly than a smart agency fee. At Wildflower Recruitment, we focused on efficiency: Our Model: Fully remote means zero fancy rent. Our Cap: We cap our fees at 20%—no matter what. Our Team: We split fees equally. No exorbitant leadership bonuses. You pay for quality execution, not our next company retreat. 2️⃣ Transactional vs. Strategic: The Culture Code 🤝 The idea that HR solely controls hiring for culture is true, but agencies should be partners, not vendors.
