Walker & Dunlop Capital Markets | EMEA recently arranged a €168.14 million refinancing for Project Dutch Lion, a diversified portfolio of 19 office assets located across eight municipalities throughout the Netherlands. Led by Claudio Sgobba and Patrick Smith the financing was arranged on behalf of Time Equities Inc., a privately held global real estate investment, development, and asset management company headed by Francis Greenburger. The debt capital was secured from U.K.-based insurer Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva plc. The transaction, which closed at 55% loan-to-value, consists of a €118 million refinancing and a €50 million accordion facility for future acquisitions and portfolio growth. Walker & Dunlop Affordable Housing recently arranged a $10.9 million HUD 223(f) refinance for Hampshire Gardens, a 110-unit affordable housing community serving low-income seniors in Silver Spring, Maryland. Led by Rob Rotach and Chad Blessed, the team arranged the HUD financing on behalf of Victory Housing. The transaction received a firm commitment in just 39 calendar days and will support more than $23,000 per unit in property improvements while preserving the community’s long-term affordability. Built in 2004 and acquired by Victory Housing in 2023, the property is an existing 100% LIHTC community that provides affordable housing for senior residents in Montgomery County.
