Rolling out ThoughtSpot to 1,000 business users at $25 per seat costs $300,000 a year at the low end of list price. Professional services come on top, at $50K to $200K. ThoughtSpot Spotter and Tursio overlap more than any other pair in this series. Both connect to multiple databases and build their semantic layer automatically. ThoughtSpot is a full BI platform priced per user, while Tursio is a search layer with a flat license, so adding users doesn't add cost. Tursio also runs on-prem as a single Docker image, answers one question across several databases at once, and gives AI agents an MCP server for querying your data. Beautifully thought-provoking article! It struck me that we often see similar chaos when making enterprise databases searchable by employees with Tursio. Employees feel a newfound sense of power and want to search for everything. Meanwhile, IT and data teams worry about security, reliability, cost, and everything else that comes with it. Clearly, the "reining in" part is so critical, and that's what our team focuses on delivering every day.

One of the best tells that a technology will actually change the world is, “Does it make a chaotic entrance?” What Replit really gets is that this joyful chaos can’t be extinguished: it has to be reined in just the right amount, so that all of the bottoms-up enthusiasm and ownership stays alive within an optimal habitat. Because the same excitement and ambition driving the initial chaos is also what’s creating deep organizational alignment, from the bottom up inside businesses, that makes these companies come alive. Agents are joining a long tradition of technologies that started as chaos and got reined in just the right amount: Like ChatGPT a few years ago, PCs mostly arrived because people brought them to work and plugged them in, allowed or not, because they helped them get things done. Employees were staking a claim on new ways to work, and taking fierce ownership over them. Code is the ultimate “aligning artifact” that someone can produce, because it literally is the business logic of the organization. But it’s an inherently chaotic thing to generate, if suddenly all kinds of new people are creating it from the bottom up. To become self-driving, a company has to become aligned. And nothing creates alignment quite like expanding the opportunity set of who can contribute code. Soon, you’ll be able to measure a company’s alignment by the richness of its agent habitat. Replit and its customers already get this. Read the full piece by Marc Andreessen, linked in the comments.

  • Corning Credit Union signed on before Tursio had a single other customer. Today their team is among the most active users of Tursio Data Search. Their feedback has shaped the product from the start. This week Murali Mahalingam visited the team in Corning, NY to see how they use Tursio day to day and to plan what we build next. Thank you, Tom Foster, PMP, CSM, Amber Miller, Joshulin Clark, Lyndsey Gullickson and the whole Corning CU team, for trusting us first. #CreditUnions #AI #DataSearch #Tursio

Wonderful visit with the team at Corning Credit Union, our very first customer and some of the most active users of Tursio Data Search. It was great to spend time together, hear firsthand how they are using the product, and discuss where we can take it next. A productive meeting and a beautiful fall backdrop in upstate New York. Thank you to the Corning Credit Union team for believing in us from the beginning! Tom Foster, PMP, CSM Amber Miller Joshulin Clark Lyndsey Gullickson #CreditUnions #AI #DataSearch #Tursio

  • Excited to present in the Data & Insights track at VentureTech! Most CU data sits in core systems that only a few people can query. Tursio changes that. It’s an on-prem AI platform that lets anyone ask questions in plain language and get accurate, explainable answers, without the data ever leaving your environment. If you’re attending, come say hi. We’d love to hear what questions your team wishes it could answer today. #VentureTech2026 #CreditUnions #AI #DataAnalytics #Fintech

  • Ask ClickHouse's AI SQL helper the same question twice and you can get two different queries, with two different answers. It rediscovers your schema from scratch on every question and keeps no memory between them. It also runs only at the command line, against a single ClickHouse instance, and sends your schema to an outside LLM. Tursio builds context once (join paths, column meanings, PII tags) and reuses it on every question, so everyone who asks the same question gets the same answer. It runs inside your network across all your databases, and business users ask questions in Teams, Excel, or Copilot. • That’s a wrap on #JHConnect 2026. Three days at booth 1518, and one question came up more than any other: “Can we use AI on member data without it leaving our environment?” Yes. That’s exactly what Tursio is built for. It’s natural-language search across your core and every other system, deployed on-prem, so your data stays where it belongs. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked hard questions, and pushed us on Symitar, governance, and real-world use cases. Those conversations shape what we build next. If we didn’t get to talk, let’s fix that 👇 https://lnkd.in/gX8pCgHz #JackHenry #CreditUnions #AI #DataGovernance

Bring a question you’d normally send to your reporting team, like “Which loans are 30 days past due?” or “How many new members joined this quarter?” We’ll answer it live with Tursio, in plain English, on sample core data. We’re here through Wednesday :) Alekh Jindal Murali Mahalingam Nicole Welch, MBA, SCMS
