  • GEO isn't one tactic. It's a system, and for software platforms, it rests on four pillars: 1. Build a content foundation AI can understand and trust: Mid-funnel content like comparisons, pricing guides, and use-case pages gives generative engines the structured, buyer-focused signals they need to recommend you. 2. Incorporate UGC and review signals across your ecosystem: Verified reviews aren't just a sales tool anymore. They're the proof points that generative engines use to validate brand claims and balance competing narratives. 3. Map your product to its category and use cases: Generative engines rely on entity associations — the contextual links between products, categories, and buyers. If those links aren't clear and consistent, you disappear. 4. Consistently feed AI the right information: Engines triangulate your brand story from multiple sources. If your messaging conflicts across channels, they'll construct a narrative you didn't intend.
