We stand shoulder to shoulder with the people who serve and their families. Over the past 24 hours, our focus has been immediate action. This includes responding to requests for USO support across the Middle East, mobilizing staff and volunteers, and preparing our centers to meet increased demand wherever it arises. As events continue to unfold, America’s service members and their families are carrying the weight of long hours, rapid change and time away from home with courage and resolve. We remain with you. For you.

For the People Who Serve. Strengthening the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families.
About us
The USO is for the people who serve. Strengthening the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families. Since 1941, the USO has strengthened America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. From the moment they join, through their assignments and deployments, and as they transition back to their communities, the USO is always by their side. We are the Force Behind the Forces. We currently operate more than 250 USO centers at or near military installations, including in combat zones, MEPS centers, several airports, and even un-staffed USO service sites in places too dangerous for anyone but combat troops to occupy. We serve the American Armed Forces - specifically, U.S. Active, Reserve, and Guard service members and their families through a wide arrange of programs and entertainment. The USO is a congressionally chartered, private organization that relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities, and is powered by a family of over 30,000 volunteers to accomplish our mission. The USO is not part of the federal government.

Today, thousands of U.S. Coast Guard service members are continuing their missions without pay. These dedicated men and women in uniform are conducting search and rescue missions, protecting our ports and waterways and standing watch for our nation, all while facing uncertainty without the funds needed to support themselves and their families. If you are a Coast Guard service member or family member looking for local support or supplemental resources during this time, please visit https://brnw.ch/21x0kn7. And to those who support them: your generosity helps ensure they’re never navigating these moments alone. 📸: Petty Officer 3rd Class Jennifer Nilson; Petty Officer 3rd Class Cameron Snell; Petty Officer 3rd Class Matthew Thieme; Petty Officer 2nd Class Vincent Moreno

Tail wags. Morale lifted. Real impact. The USO Canine Volunteer of the Year competition celebrates the therapy dogs who answer the call, bringing comfort, calm, and connection to service members and military families around the world. These loyal companions remind us that sometimes the most powerful support comes on four legs. 🐾 Public voting is open February 24 to March 16th. Join the pack and help us recognize these paw-some volunteers at USO.org/caninevote.

It’s more than a concert or a comedy show – it is an expression of gratitude, on behalf of the American people, for the sacrifices made every day by our men and women in uniform. In 2025, the USO strengthened the morale of service members around the globe through the power of entertainment. When artists, athletes, actors and entertainers travel to remote parts of the world to meet and perform for our nation’s military, it boosts service members’ morale, strengthening their spirits so they can carry out their duties. On 95 USO Entertainment Tour stops across 19 states and territories, 21 countries and 6 ships at sea, and with incredible talent and partners by our side, the USO did just that. This tradition of support through entertainment started on the front lines of World War II, and it is one that we are proud to carry forward in support of those serving in today’s military.

The USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) is once again turning toward the Middle East, another shift in what has already been a demanding operational cycle marked by deployment extensions, rapid re-tasking, and extended time at sea. The USS Ford has been operating at a sustained high op-tempo over the past few years, rarely seen outside major conflict periods. Behind the headlines, are thousands of sailors, many in their early 20s, operating in one of the most complex and high-pressure environments in the world. Long hours on the flight deck. Heavy seas. Missed milestones at home. Unwavering professionalism. Aboard the USS Ford, the USO is the ONLY nonprofit with a permanent Center on the ship, a dedicated space where sailors can decompress, connect with family, and recharge before the next watch. Operational readiness requires resilience. Resilience requires support. As global demands continue to shift, our commitment does not. Every nautical mile. Every deployment. We stand with those who serve. “For us to do all this… to play in the Super Bowl… this can’t happen without them.” Two-time Super Bowl champion and former New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork said it best while discussing supporting those who serve through his work with the USO during an interview with Barstool Sports' Ryen Russillo last week. Behind every game, every accolade, every achievement- there are service members and military families making daily sacrifices most of us will never fully see. Sacrifices that make even the everyday moments we take for granted possible. Recently named an official USO Global Ambassador after years of supporting and participating in USO tours, Vince’s commitment to our mission runs deep. And in this clip, you can feel it: Gratitude. Respect. Action. The USO exists to strengthen the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families - and it takes all of us to carry that mission forward. Take a minute to watch. And join us in standing alongside those who stand for all of us at www.uso.org

There are few things more American than football and supporting our nation’s military. This week in San Francisco, California, the USO had the privilege of coming together with the National Football League (NFL), our partner of nearly 60 years, to celebrate and be a part of the Super Bowl LX Experience. But this week wasn’t just about the excitement of the big game – it was about connecting the American people to the people who serve, and to the importance of the USO’s mission. From standing shoulder-to-shoulder with all five NFL Salute to Service partner organizations to assemble care packages, to joining forces with USAA to award a local USO volunteer with tickets to the big game, to having visitors build their own USO Care Packages to be delivered to deployed service members at our USO Experience activation, to sending messages of gratitude of support – it was a week of putting our mission in action. We are also incredibly grateful to our newest USO Global Ambassadors: two-time Super Bowl champ and former New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork, and Minnesota Vikings star running back Aaron Jones. Throughout Super Bowl Radio Row, they used their voices and platforms across national media outlets to share the critical importance of the USO’s mission — and why it is personal to them. It is because of the sacrifices of our nation’s service members and their families that we are able to enjoy our freedoms as Americans, including coming together to celebrate events like the Super Bowl. No matter what team you’re rooting for this Sunday, we can all stand united in supporting those who serve.
