This Saturday employees from GEO’s Corporate Office got together to build Blanket & Bear Hug Packages for Child Rescue Coalition, Inc. These packages will be distributed to law enforcement across the globe to give to children who are victims of sexual abuse.

They were joined by Arizona Senate President Warren Peterson and the Arizona Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff Larry Sandigo, who continue to be supportive of GEO’s world-class rehabilitation programming.

This morning, scholarship letters were handed out to 28 students from Laredo ISD, United ISD, St. Augustine High School, H. J. Garcia Early School of Excellence, Harmony School and Webb Consolidated School District. Each student received $1,000 from The GEO Group's Rio Grande Processing Center. Members of the Webb County Commissioners Court, Rio Grande Processing Center Facility Administrator David C. Cole, local school district representatives, and parents were all present at the check presentation. The GEO Group Rio Group Processing Center has provided over $500,000 worth of scholarships to Webb County school districts over the past 17 years.
