  • Clark joined our hypertension program after ending up in the emergency room with extremely high blood pressure, an experience that reminded her of the importance of keeping her heart healthy. The program’s easy-to-use blood pressure monitor tracks her readings automatically, and the educational content has helped her adopt better habits, such as reducing salt and increasing daily steps. She’s also looking forward to adding coaching support. ❤️ This #AmericanHeartMonth, we support people in their journeys to take control of their heart health—for themselves and the people they love. • With H.R. 1 paving the way for first dollar virtual care, integration is the next strategic step. As Ethan Berke, MD, MPH shares in his discussion, “Advancing Virtual Care to Transform Healthcare Delivery,” connecting virtual care offerings into one model helps plans meet member expectations, boost engagement, improve outcomes and differentiate in a competitive market. • February is #AmericanHeartMonth, a perfect reminder that each of us has our own personal motivation for keeping our hearts healthy. ❤️ For Jose, it’s overcoming a family history of chronic disease. For Carol, it’s the joy of seeing progress every morning. For Chantelle, it’s managing her hypertension so she can enjoy her farm. With Teladoc Health, they found the support and tools to take control of their health and hypertension and the results speak for themselves. We provide the cardiometabolic care others overlook by taking an integrated approach that combines proven solutions to drive real results and help members keep their hearts strong for years to come. • Virtual care is now a first dollar benefit and a major opportunity for health plans. The H.R. 1 act enables $0 virtual care for high-deductible health plan (HDHP) members without impacting HSA eligibility, removing a key barrier for the 40% of Americans in HDHPs. With cost friction gone, engagement typically increases 2–3x, supporting earlier detection and stronger chronic condition management. As Kelly Bliss notes, now is the moment for plans to lead this shift. Read her perspective: https://lnkd.in/gA9s4Ubf #VirtualCare #HealthcarePolicy #HealthPlans

  • Corrine joined the Teladoc Health Hypertension program to take control of her health after a thyroid-related episode and high blood pressure. With the help of the program resources, daily tracking, diet changes and exercise, she’s lowered her numbers, boosted her confidence and reduced her need for medication. ❤️ This #AmericanHeartMonth, we support people in their journeys to take control of their heart health, for themselves and the people they love. • Distances shouldn’t determine heart health outcomes. This American Heart Month, we’re sharing stories of how virtual care is helping people in rural communities manage hypertension from home. From remote blood pressure monitoring to expert coaches, we’re bringing peace of mind to people who may have trouble regularly accessing traditional care. • Heart health isn’t just about blood pressure numbers. Your mental health plays a role, too! Chronic stress, anxiety and poor sleep can all raise cardiovascular risk, often in ways people don’t realize. And many of the biggest risk factors are tied to everyday habits. Here’s the good news: Small, consistent choices add up. Better sleep. More movement. Healthier eating. Managing stress. With integrated support from Teladoc Health, from mental health care to lifestyle coaching, people can understand their risk factors and build heart-healthy habits that last. This #AmericanHeartMonth, remember: Caring for your heart starts with caring for the whole person. Last year, a new model for understanding obesity was introduced. To evaluate the impact of this new model, we led one of the first large-scale investigations to estimate obesity prevalence under the new definition. One of the authors, Lee Dukes, looks at what this study shows in terms of prevalence and the opportunity for earlier intervention: https://lnkd.in/gpYT7wNE #ObesityAwareness #PopulationHealth
