What a week! 💙 From the Management Team Meeting to Power of ONE, thousands of Sutter teammates came together to learn, connect and celebrate what makes Sutter Health special — our people, our shared purpose and the power of curiosity. We heard from CEO Warner Thomas who recognized the momentum we've built across Sutter this year and outlined where we need to focus and grow in the months ahead. A highlight of the week was bestselling author and researcher Brené Brown, whose message encouraged us to ask bold questions, embrace new perspectives and continue shaping the future of healthcare. And there was no shortage of energy, thanks to the Sacramento Kings dance team and appearances by the Kings and San Francisco 49ers mascots. Rock the Ride Napa Valley once again brought the community together for an important cause. We recently celebrated the completion of Sutter Coast Hospital’s new EmPATH (Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment, and Healing) Center, marking a new chapter in behavioral health care for Del Norte County. Too often, individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis have ended up in environments that weren’t designed to meet their needs. And while our teams always show up with compassion and expertise, we know that the setting matters. Opening later this summer, the new EmPATH center is designed specifically to change that. The space will provide a calming, therapeutic environment where patients can receive specialized care from behavioral health professionals following emergency department assessment. Team Sutter started #PrideMonth strong. 🌈 From Roseville and Suisun to celebrations across Davis, Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz, with teammates also showing up in Salt Lake City, the energy has been felt in communities near and far. A day of flag football, confidence and inspiration. 🏈✨ When young athletes have opportunities to strengthen their physical and mental health and wellness, the impact extends far beyond the field. Hands-on coaching from two football Hall of Fame icons took a girls flag football camp in Oakland to the next level. Together, Sutter Health, Steve Young and the @ForeverYoungFoundation are helping create experiences like this for girls across Northern California where they can connect with teammates, interact with positive role models, receive encouragement and discover what they are truly capable of. Happy Father's Day to all! Thinking about my own dad today and the many dads & father figures across Sutter Health. The qualities that make someone a great father—compassion, patience, resilience and a commitment to others—are often the same qualities that define great caregiving professionals and leaders. Today's a chance to recognize the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors and father figures who play such an important role supporting and guiding their kids, families and communities. Their influence often shows up in lasting ways—in the values they've shared, the example they've set and the encouragement they've given along the way.
