Hey SketchUp Community! We are excited to announce that the SketchUp Solid Tools eLearning course is now live on Trimble Learn’s SketchUp Campus! In this course, participants will learn how to: - Explain what a SketchUp solid is and why Solid Tools are beneficial for creating complex 3D geometry. - Identify and access the six basic SketchUp Solid Tools. - Differentiate between the Union and Outer Shell tools and apply them appropriately for combining solid entities while considering internal geometry. - Apply the Subtract tool to precisely remove one solid from another, such as cutting holes in a pipe or solid object. - Utilize the Trim tool to cut one solid with another while retaining the cutting solid, useful for creating joinery or threaded connections. - Employ the Intersect tool to extract only the overlapping geometry of multiple solids, facilitating the creation of unique forms. - Leverage the Split tool to divide overlapping solids along their intersecting edges, maintaining all resultant parts for flexible modeling. - Troubleshoot common issues with solid entities using the Entity Info dialog and the Solid Inspector extension, to ensure models are ready for Solid Tool operations. https://bit.ly/4u97kdU

I developed a process called "Visualization to Actualization" TM for spacecraft integration and testing development. It's a static digital twin that allows you to visualize virtually the hardware and facilities and the proposed operations before you carry them out in actual life. I have utilized this process across multiple spacecraft projects. #digitaltwin #3D #CAD #spacecraft #Integration #testing #3D #visualization #aerospace #mechanical #engineering #planning #schedule #management #communication #costsavings #costaccuracy #sketchup
