Today is Sysadmin Appreciation Day. If you've never had to answer a 2 AM alert, restore a hacked website, or explain to a client why their email stopped working, you probably have a sysadmin to thank for that. They're the reason your server didn't go down last Tuesday. The reason that vulnerability got patched before anyone noticed. The reason the backup actually worked when you needed it. Most users never know their name. Most days, that's exactly how it's supposed to go. To every #sysadmin keeping things running quietly in the background: thank you. Tag a sysadmin who deserves some recognition today.👇🏻

Not every security threat is an active attacker. Sometimes it's just a website everyone forgot about. Zombie websites are sites that remain online without active ownership or maintenance, and they can quietly become one of the biggest risks on a server. Outdated software, unpatched vulnerabilities, unused accounts, and unclear ownership create opportunities for attackers while consuming valuable resources. They're also notoriously difficult to manage when something goes wrong: • Who owns it? • Is it still needed? • Who approves changes? • Is anyone monitoring it? Regular website audits aren't just good housekeeping. They're an important part of maintaining a secure hosting environment. How often does your team review inactive or forgotten websites?👇🏻

Every support team has at least one story they'll never forget. Maybe it was a website issue that turned out to be a browser tab. Maybe a server "outage" that was really a disconnected power cable. Or, maybe it was a request so unusual that you had to read it twice. What's the most unusual support request you've ever received? Share your story with us in the comments.👇🏻

Is your hosting environment healthy? It depends on more than uptime. A healthy hosting environment helps improve security, performance, and long-term stability. Many website issues don't start with traffic spikes or cyberattacks. Usually, they start with overlooked maintenance. A quick health check should include: ✔️ Supported PHP version ✔️ Active backups ✔️ Monitoring enabled ✔️ Security tools configured ✔️ Minimal inactive users ✔️ Regular updates If any of these items are missing, they could become a risk before you notice a problem. Regular reviews help reduce security risks, improve performance, and make recovery easier when problems occur. How many of these boxes can you confidently check? 👇🏻
