It was an honor to speak at the National Governors Association 2026 Winter Meeting on Friday about how our JPMorganChase Security and Resiliency Initiative (SRI) aims to secure our nation’s national and economic security — and to contribute to Reimagining the American Dream. At JPM we know the strength of our economy and the security of our nation now depend on one thing: Whether the US can build, produce and innovate at scale - right here at home. Our $1.5T effort to facilitate, finance and invest in critical industries aims to help our country do just that. Thank you to Chair Gov Kevin Stitt and Vice Chair Gov. Wes Moore for having us and to NGA for an amazing event. CC: William Floyd John Fetherston

Governors don’t wait for solutions. They build them. At the National Governors Association Winter Meeting in Washington, D.C., Blue Star Families and NGA launched the Do Your Part State Toolkit, a first-of-its-kind resource featuring 1,350+ proven ideas states are already using to strengthen military and veteran families and boost readiness. It makes it easier for states to learn, lead, and solve more problems. Co-chaired by Governor Spencer Cox and Gov. Wes Moore, 21 states are already setting the intention to do more to support military families in their states … and we were especially proud to welcome American Samoa as the first-ever Do Your Part Territory, announced live by Governor Pulaali’i Nikolao Pula! During the "Power of Service" panel, moderated by Governor Wes Moore, alongside Rosie Rios of America250, Kathy Roth-Douquet, and Blake Lawit of LinkedIn, one message stood out: when governors lead and partners align, military families can belong and thrive. This is state leadership in action. This is changing how America supports its military. Learn more and Do YOUR Part today: doyourpart.com. Do Your Part is made possible by Craig Newmark and Craig Newmark Philanthropies and the state initiative is presented in partnership with the National Governors Association. #DoYourPart #MilitaryFamilies #DoYourPartState #NGAWinterMeeting #BlueStarFamilies Gov. 🚨 A New National Youth Apprenticeship Model—Launching in Governors’ Offices 🚨 At the NGA Winter Meeting, Governor Kevin Stitt, Chair of the National Governors Association, announced a first-of-its-kind partnership with CareerWise and Western Governors University: The Governors Youth Apprenticeship Program. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gaPYRiwA This innovative, competency-based pathway places recent high school graduates directly in Governors’ Offices and executive branch agencies—while they earn college credit toward a bachelor’s degree. As Stacey Ludwig Johnson, Executive Director of Work-Based Pathways at WGU, shared: “Our competency-based model recognizes what students already know and allows them to advance as they demonstrate mastery. By integrating paid, real-world experience into the academic pathway, graduates leave with not just a credential, but the skills, experience, and confidence to lead in public service.” Program highlights include: 🔹 Paid, high-quality public service roles 🔹 Hands-on experience in policy, operations, and project management 🔹 Affordable, transferable, degree-aligned learning 🔹 A scalable model to strengthen state government talent pipelines Recruitment for the inaugural Government Policy Specialist Youth Apprenticeship begins in March, with apprentices expected to join Governor Stitt’s office this fall. The program is designed to expand to as many as 25 states by 2027. As Brent Parton, President & CEO of CareerWise, noted: “This partnership reflects a shared commitment to reimagining how young people enter public service. CareerWise is proud to serve as the connective tissue between Governors’ Offices and emerging talent as we build a scalable pathway that benefits states and students alike.” We’re excited to help shape the future of public service—and open new doors for young people to lead, learn, and serve. #YouthApprenticeship #PublicService #WorkBasedLearning #SkillsFirst #FutureOfWork #StateGovernment #CareerWise
