Looking back at NBA All-Star in LA, the NBPA took a novel approach to brand partnerships. We quietly launched PLYRS House — an invite-only social club that felt less like an activation and more like a Soho House–level insiders’ sanctuary, curated by the players themselves. With live podcasts, parties, and private screenings, PLYRS House became one of LA’s best-kept secrets — bringing together NBA players, our top partners, celebrities, influencers and fans. Nearly 40 players and more than 1,800 guests joined the PA at PLYRS House, giving participating brands authentic, high-quality access to athletes and cultural tastemakers in an environment built for real connection and meaningful engagement. Special thanks to our partners 2K, Maker's Mark, Crowned Skin, Canyon Ranch, GoFundMe, Sony/GOAT Official Movie, the Kevin Love Fund, NBA Social Justice Coalition, PeacePlayers International and Unanimous Media.

Advancing player health remains a core priority for the NBPA. We’re proud to collaborate with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the National Basketball Association (NBA), GE HealthCare, and Springbok Analytics on a groundbreaking research study focused on reducing musculoskeletal injuries in basketball. The current study builds on the collaboration’s 2023-2024 NBA G League pilot, which was designed to gather data and evaluate the effects of training and game load on athletic performance across a full professional season. Learn more about the study at the link below. https://lnkd.in/ggjK_-pJ

During All-Star Weekend, the PLYRS House served as a player hub for wellness, culture and social impact through a series of partner-led experiences. Canyon Ranch Wellness Resort turned the rooftop into a holistic retreat for guests to recharge, while the theater hosted a screening of ESPN’s Origin: The Story of the Basketball League to showcase the rise of the BAL. The programming continued with a screening of Hoops, Hopes & Dreams and a legacy panel featuring Dr. Bernice A. King, moderated by Jemele Hill. Highlighting the intersection of community and tech, the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition brought youth together for a dedicated discussion on the role of AI in shaping the future of social justice.

Player fines are funding a charitable NBPA Matching Grants program 💰 Erika Swilley works for the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) in midtown Manhattan, and as executive director of the NBPA Foundation, she has been campaigning for philanthropy through the Matching Grants program, funded by player fines. Each time an active player donates to a qualified charity, the NBPA matches it up to $25,000. The matching has ramped up 30% since she started. MORE: https://ow.ly/TYT950Y3RcV
