3 months into building Gigs in the UK, last week felt like an important moment. We hosted a dinner in London, bringing together leaders from banking, fintech, consumer tech and marketplaces to talk about the future of the UK connectivity sector. What struck me wasn't just the breadth of who was there, but the maturity of the conversation. Nobody was asking whether to embed connectivity into their platforms. They were asking when, how fast and what the right launch looks like for their users. That shift from curiosity to sequencing is what a category tipping point feels like from the inside. We just wrapped our tenth Gigs Republic — and this one hit different. 🎉 Gigs Republic is our bi-annual heartbeat: every Gigster, from every corner of the company, in one place. No Zooms. No async. Just our team, together in sunny Malaga, Spain, pushing each other to think bigger and move faster. GR X brought together our largest group yet — with around 30% of the room experiencing their first Republic. That's a lot of new energy. And we didn't let it go to waste. Highlights from the week: 🎓 Gigs University: For the first time, we ran a full day dedicated to AI for everyone. Engineers, GTM, ops, finance — every team got hands-on with new tools and worked through how to apply them to their actual work. The goal wasn't just to learn AI. It was to make sure that every person at Gigs knows how to use it to expand their surface area. Because the companies that win the next decade will be built by the teams who know how to wield it. ⚡ Hackathon: Our tenth hackathon didn't disappoint. AI workflows were the central challenge, and teams across the company rose to it. Watching people who don't usually build, build their first agents and skills, and watching builders tackle problems they'd never considered — is one of the best things about GR. On this day, we set the stage for our most creative products and ship new verticals at Gigs. This one reminded us why we keep doing it. 👩🍳 Gigs Table: We split into cooking groups and took over the kitchen, this time cooking dishes that told a story: a return to our roots in Berlin, a celebration of where we come from, and a taste of where we're headed next: LATAM. The vibes were great. The chaos getting there was better. Ten Gigs Republics in, the thing that still surprises us is how much we can shift in a week. The conversations that start at dinner and become product decisions. The new joiners who walk in nervous and leave with a totally different sense of what we're building.
