One thing that stood out to me at this year’s Tastemaker Conference wasn’t a stat or a slide. It was being back in the room with food publishers. People we’ve worked with for years. People we’d lost touch with. And people I was meeting for the first time. That mix mattered. Food publishers have long been a leading indicator for the broader creator economy. And the conversations felt different this year. Less about chasing short-term spikes. More about building audiences and businesses that hold up. After a few years of volatility, that was encouraging to hear. Big thanks to Abbey Rodriguez, Chandice Probst and the full Tastemaker Conference team for a great event in 2026. I left optimistic about where publishers are headed next and how intentional, durable growth is starting to matter more.

🌟 Partner Highlight: Mediavine and Volunteers of America, Utah🌟 In October, Mediavine employees gathered to assemble resources for an incredible nonprofit working in the Salt Lake Valley community: Volunteers of America, Utah. The organization's Youth Resource Center is a drop-in center and emergency shelter for youth ages 15-22 who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. LGBTQ+ and transgender youth are disproportionately affected by homelessness, and the center provides a safe space, basic needs, and support. Mediavine employees had an incredibly productive day, with more than 100 volunteers putting together 252 snack and hygiene kits to be donated to at-risk unhoused youth. This donation drive will have an immediate and meaningful impact in the local community for community members who need it most. Many thanks to our partners and GTG staff who made it happen!
