For AANHPI Month, we celebrated the evolution of our MLB Asian ERG to MLB A.C.E.S ERG - AAPI Communities for Empowerment and Success - highlighting the diaspora of AAPI cultures and creating a more inclusive space that reflects the many identities within our community. Employees came together through food, games, crafts, and interactive activities that celebrated the richness of our different cultures - from traditional cuisines and cultural expressions to shared experiences that connect us across backgrounds. The event created space for both honoring individual identities and recognizing the strength found in our collective community. A meaningful opportunity to reflect on and appreciate the traditions, perspectives, and experiences that make the MLB A.C.E.S such an inclusive space, and to continue building community through shared celebration and connection. #MLB #MLBA.C.E.S. #AANHPIHeritageMonth

⚾️ Today Major League Baseball marks our sixth annual Lou Gehrig Day, which was inspired – and has since been shaped – by members of the ALS community. June 2nd carries a profound weight in baseball history. It is the anniversary of the day that Gehrig became the Yankees’ starting first baseman in 1925 — launching his legendary "Iron Horse" streak of 2,130 consecutive games played — and it is also the day we lost him to ALS 16 years later. Today, the entire baseball community stands unified against ALS. Every player, manager and coach across all 30 Clubs will wear custom "4" decals and have the option to wear red "4-ALS" wristbands, honoring the first retired number in baseball history and the hero who taught us what it means to be the "luckiest man on the face of the earth." But today is about more than tradition — it's about action. To accelerate the fight for a cure, MLB has launched a special charitable auction benefiting The Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Mass General. Thirty bats were individually signed by one player from each MLB Club, and each was selected by MLB researcher and reporter Sarah Langs, who is among the thousands battling ALS. Whether you are watching from the stands or tuning in from home, you will see the illuminated "4" in every broadcast booth and special tributes in every ballpark. Let’s turn awareness into impact and sustain momentum against the disease that bears Gehrig’s name. #LouGehrigDay #4ALS #MLB #EndALS #BaseballCommunity #StrikeOutALS

This past Saturday, Major League Baseball's Home Base ERG (Family) brought together MLB families for a special day at the Mets vs. Marlins game. From meeting Mr. and Mrs. Met to enjoying an exclusive stadium tour, our young fans experienced the magic of baseball beyond the stands. One of the day's highlights was seeing MLB parents connect, share experiences, and build new relationships while their children created lasting memories together. Events like these reinforce the importance of fostering community and creating spaces where families feel connected and supported. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable day at the ballpark. #HomeBaseERG #MLB #Family #Community

In honor of Military Appreciation Month, MLB employees came together with the American Red Cross to assemble 600 Service to the Armed Forces personal care kits that were distributed to local VA centers in the New York metro area. Employees also wrote handwritten notes to Veterans to share their appreciation and support. This event also contributed to the MLB Together commitment of 250,000 hours of volunteer service in honor of America’s 250th birthday. Alongside our MLB and MiLB Clubs, players, partners, and fans, MLB employees and executives are proud to support this initiative celebrating service, community, and our nation. #MLBTogether

At Sports Business Journal's fourth annual Sports Business Awards: Tech, Major League Baseball earned the award for Best in Immersive Technology for the league's MLB App for XR. The MLB App for XR transforms sports consumption from a passive viewing experience to an active, personalized spatial engagement. Launched on the Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest and Galaxy XR, the app re-imagines the ballpark experience, transforming the fan's environment into a 3D-rendered MLB ballpark. We congratulate our many colleagues who work tirelessly on our XR products throughout the year.

In recognition of Jewish American Heritage Month, the MLB Mitzvah Employee Resource Group partnered with PJ Library to host “MLB Mitzvah Day,” bringing the spirit of service to life through baseball and community engagement. Mitzvah is rooted in acts of service, with education as a core pillar. Together, our ERG members and allies packed 400 children’s kits, each including books, custom apparel, and handwritten notes. The kits were distributed during Jewish Heritage Night at the Somerset Patriots game, where children were invited to share a mitzvah they were proud of upon receiving them. This initiative reflected the power of community, culture, and baseball coming together. We’re proud of the collective effort that made this event a success. #JewishAmericanHeritageMonth #MLBMitzvah #EmployeeResourceGroups

Earlier this month, MLB employees participated in the ALS United Walk ALS New York City, which raises funds and awareness for those living with ALS while supporting urgent innovation and the pursuit of a cure. MLB employees walked in support of Sarah Langs, Irene Rausen, Truman Boyes, and all those battling ALS. This June, MLB will celebrate the sixth annual Lou Gehrig Day. Since 2021, the day has honored the legacy of Lou Gehrig and all those lost to the disease that bears his name, while raising awareness and funds for ALS research and recognizing the individuals and organizations leading the pursuit of a cure.
