Did you know that devices plugged into the wall add heat to your house? Now that it’s officially summer, on this #TipTuesday, we are thinking about ways to reduce energy usage during the hottest months of the year. HELPFUL TIP: Shift your heavy electrical use to early morning or late evening when possible. This includes the dishwasher, laundry (especially dryers), and charging large devices (EVs, tool batteries, etc.). Why does this help? Every watt of electricity used indoors eventually turns into heat.
