The mental health platform built for personal and professional growth.
About us
Grow is a mental health platform built to enable progress. We are more than a marketplace — bringing together clinical expertise, always-on tools, and deep insights to help clients improve their lives, providers build practices they're proud of, and businesses offer demonstrably more effective and efficient care. We believe mental health is a never-ending pursuit, and we build toward that progress every day — connecting people with the right expert, clearing the path to care, and turning insight into action with support that doesn't stop. At Grow, mental health isn't just a fix — it's a practice. And our goal isn't just to help clients feel better, it's to help them achieve their goals in life. For providers, Grow is the professional home for independent clinicians. We're as invested in providers as they are in their clients — which means we handle the payors so getting paid never becomes the work. We also build the tech foundation, foster the community, and elevate expert resources so providers can focus on being the best caregivers they can be. So far, 15 million sessions have started on Grow. Each one a step forward with therapy you begin, build on, and keep coming back to. • Covered by insurance: 220M lives covered on Grow • Start right away: Begin in 2 days, not the national 48-day average • Care that fits: In-person or virtual, day or night. Search by language, specialty, and more • Results you can feel: 80%+ of Grow clients feel better after starting therapy • No surprise costs: Clear cost estimates and no subscriptions Keep growing at growtherapy.com

Right around the timing David Wu, MD, PhD and Fateme (Fatima) Nateghi put out the first NoHarm preprint in December last year, NYT and other media were reporting alarming case reports of mental health harm from patients using AI chatbots. Psychiatry and mental health was not one of the ten specialities the team tested then, because mental health is nuanced and requires the right partnerships and expertise in place. Excited to have John Havlik, MD, MBA and Grow team up on this highly important line of research to improve mental health AI chatbot testing and safety. Manoj Kanagaraj, MD Jonathan H. When someone needs mental health support, the best option is care designed for it. At Grow, our AI coach was built by clinicians to work alongside a licensed therapist. That human-led model is what we'd want for the people we care about in need, and it's what we believe sets the standard. At the same time, some people will turn to general-purpose AI already in front of them. Those tools weren't designed for mental health, and right now there's no shared way to understand their safety. That needs to change. Grow has partnered with Stanford University, Dr. Jonathan H. Chen and a team of Stanford Psychiatrists to build a gold standard for measuring harm in AI responses, evaluated against what licensed professionals would stand behind. Most AI safety testing relies on hypothetical examples. This research incorporates real-world scenarios using anonymized conversations with Grow's AI coach, creating a more rigorous assessment of AI performance in a mental health setting. The findings will be public, helping establish a benchmark that will raise the standard for mental health AI. Thank you Dr. Ethan Goh, MD from our AI Advisory Panel for helping shape this work. We started Grow because everyone should be able to find mental health care that works for them. We’re grateful that Fast Company recognized Grow Therapy as a World Changing Idea. The idea behind Grow has always been straightforward: build a platform that empowers providers, works with insurance, and helps people find effective care they can afford. Today: - 26,000+ licensed providers build their practices on Grow - 220 million Americans can access support through their insurance - 80% of clients using our platform show clinical improvement within 30 days. Thank you to the entire Grow team for the urgency, thoughtfulness, and care you put toward this mission every day. We’re proud of what we’ve built together, and focused on getting better each day as we build the kind of mental healthcare we’d want for our loved ones. https://lnkd.in/dX9i9iV2

In healthcare, notifications are a critical part of the care journey. When they work, clients show up, and providers can focus on care. When they don't, it affects everything. When we hit the limits of what our notification setup could handle, we started over. In our latest engineering blog, Evan McDaniel, Martin Cservenka, and Avery Huang walk through how we went from a fragmented setup to a centralized notification engine that supports millions of visits. What does it actually look like to provide disability-informed care? In this conversation, disability advocate Lolo Spencer and therapist Stephanie Anyakwo, LMFT get honest about where mental health care falls short for disabled clients and what providers can do differently. They cover a lot of ground: diagnostic overshadowing, intake design, the role of community and identity, and the blind spots that even well-meaning clinicians tend to miss. It's a conversation worth having. Watch it here 👇 https://lnkd.in/gqM6dNNX

For one day in San Diego, our provider community got to do something rare: step away from their screens and into a room full of people who truly understand the work. Between sessions, meals, and conversations in the hallway, providers exchanged ideas, shared challenges, celebrated wins, and built relationships that will last far beyond the summit itself. At Grow, we believe community isn't a nice-to-have. It's a critical part of helping clinicians thrive in a profession that can often feel isolating. That's why we bring providers together to connect with peers who are navigating the same questions, opportunities, and ambitions. Here's a look back at Grow Forward Summit 2026. 🎥

Our vision is to make mental healthcare accessible and affordable to all. But this isn't just a mission statement we leave on the website. Our engineering team weaves it into every layer of the product, including the infrastructure that most people never see. Take a look at our latest engineering blog post to see how our team built a fault-tolerant eligibility infrastructure that keeps care accessible even when payer APIs aren't. https://lnkd.in/eFmF525v
