  • Meet the women bringing heritage to handbags. This week’s Renegades are Wendy Yu & Shilpa Shah: CEO and Co-Founder/Chief Experience Officer of Cuyana! Our Renegades editorial series spotlights Asian Pacific luminaries who defy stereotypes and pave their own paths forward. Founded in 2011 by Shah and her co-founder Karla Gallardo, Cuyana provides timeless accessories and apparel with the mission of “a fewer, better lifestyle.” With former Chief Digital Officer Wendy Yu now taking the helm as CEO, the luxury brand aims to continue its evolution with heritage and experience in heavy consideration. In fact, in honor of the Diwali season, Gold House has partnered with Cuyana on a limited edition Marigold bag charm, now available at the link in bio. Read our full interview with Wendy & Shilpa down below or at goldhouse.org/renegades 🪔

  • South Korea has become the world's cultural bridge — where K-pop, cinema, cuisine, and craft flow outward to connect and inspire every corner of the globe. Gold House is proud to be a part of that bridge this year, creating new connections and moments across Busan and Seoul. Through Entertainment, Technology, and beyond, Gold House brought together Korea's rising and established creatives, funders, and founders. Thank you to our friends at UTA, Milken, Hanwha Life, Replit, and Amazon Music for joining us. Swipe to see some of the incredible memories we've made along the way! 🇰🇷

  • Would you rather face off with the shōgun or be haunted by ghosts? This week’s Renegade may have the answer: meet award-winning actor Moeka Hoshi! ⚔️👻 Our #Renegades editorial series spotlights Asian Pacific luminaries who defy stereotypes and pave their own paths forward. Born in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, #MoekaHoshi set her eyes on the arts in all forms. A known actress and dancer, she graduated from the Faculty of Literature at Sophia University with a degree in German Literature. Her role in FX’s #Shōgun awarded her the Critics Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and placed on her the international map. Her latest film, #NeverAfterDark, explores the mysticism and supernatural forces of the Japanese countryside. Read our full interview with Moeka down below or at goldhouse.org/renegades!

오늘도 수고 많으셨어요. You worked hard today. These words from one of my favorite Trot songs acknowledge the effort it takes to get through a day, whatever that day has brought. These past few weeks in Korea have been a whirlwind—daily back and forth to the hospital, the joy of reconnecting with old friends, getting buried in mugwort (don’t do it!!!); all while staying on top of my inbox. And there has been much to celebrate. The launch gatherings for Gold House Korea at the Busan International Film Festival and in Seoul brought together so many people doing meaningful work to build community and expand representation. Running into three other clients at the same event was an essential photo op! Thank you to Sun Hyeong Lee, Daniel Suh Jeanie Y. Chang, LMFT, CIMHP Theresa Hyun Lee Korina Park Mike Shin Ijae Park Albert P. Lee Joan Kim Joon Oh Lynn Xu Jihoon (Paul) Choi Timothy Im Angela Kim for being part of this time. A special thank-you to Steven Ju at Sazze Partners and Yeana Lee for indulging my Bangtan obsession 💜, and to my Pillsbury colleagues Christopher Kao and Ju Young Park for humoring my quest to find the best hamburger in Korea. We tend to share the wins here. But life is full of highs and lows, and I’m grateful for the people who are authentically linked in for both. Onwards (into the sun)! #Community #Gratitude #VentureCapital Pillsbury Propel
