We are absolutely gutted to hear about the passing of Catherine O'Hara. She left a huge impact on us having grown up loving so many of the films & shows she starred in. So much so that there are Easter eggs in the Slack plugin based on the indelible character of Moira Rose. If you explore the Community Edition, you’ll find a little surprise. When one artist notifies another that a new version of a product is incoming, the plugin quietly rolls a number between 0 and 100. • Roll a 90, and the artist is greeted with this message fully filled in: Dearest <@{slack_user}>, I bring you tidings of the utmost importance! The {product} render for Shot `{shot}` in the enchanting Sequence `{seq}` has begun. Courtesy of the illustrious <@{sender}>, of course. May the pixels align in harmonious perfection! Yours in cinematic anticipation, Moira Rose • Roll a 100, and instead you get this gem of a gif: https://lnkd.in/grfSmc87 These small Easter eggs have been included since its initial release last year and are a small way of reminding ourselves that even while working we can still have fun. 😭

It's finally here! We’re excited to announce the release of the Prism/Slack Studio Edition for Prism Pipeline! 🎉 The Slack plugin is now available in two Editions: • 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 – A paid version where new features and improvements will be developed and released first. • 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 – An open-source version where features will gradually trickle down from the Studio Edition. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? The Studio Edition kicks off with a bunch of great features, including: • Windows, macOS, and Linux support • Sign-in with Slack • Early approvals workflow support • Initial Slack Usergroup support • Easier package installation • Lots of bug fixes and improvements • And more! Additional features are planned as well! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲? We’re keeping pricing simple and studio-friendly. Choose the option that works best for you or your team: • 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗹𝘆 — $2 / user • 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 — $20 / user • 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡 — $40 / user We included a perpetual license option because we believe they should still exist in modern software. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱? The original open-source Slack plugin was put into maintenance mode, but there were no plans for new features. To keep the plugin growing, Fraktl is taking over and continuing active development on the Studio & Community Editions. Special shout out to Peter Rock for helping us build the plugin on macOS and Linux as well as some additional quality of life changes! 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/g7bDEDQw

Hey everyone, this is John and Jessica from Fraktl! Happy 2026! 🥂 We wanted to officially introduce ourselves as we start taking things more formally this year. We’re big believers in the new wave of independent studios building their own path and we would like to join them! ✨ For us, that means not just creating the work, but building the tools we need to get it done. Alongside our studio work, we develop custom plugins designed to help artists and production collaborate easier. Our first officially supported plugin was born from actual production needs, and we’re really excited to formally announce it this week! We've got other plugins and software currently in the works that we'll be thrilled to announce soon and a big one in the latter months of 2026. In the meantime, we have a lot planned for this year and are looking forward to working with more amazing artists and collaborating on some cool projects ahead! #vfx #animation #pipeline #software #creatives
