Field-Deployed General Robot Intelligence

About us

FieldAI is building general robot intelligence for the physical world. FieldAI’s technology enables robots to operate safely and reliably in unstructured environments where most of the world’s work happens, without prior maps, GPS, predefined routes, or supporting infrastructure. Its hardware-agnostic approach works across different robot types, allowing customers to deploy the right form factor for the job. FieldAI robots are deployed globally across hundreds of customer sites on three continents, supporting industries including construction, energy, security, and manufacturing. Founded by veterans of NASA JPL, DARPA, and Google DeepMind, FieldAI is bringing AI off the screen and into the field.

For the first time in the Middle East, general-purpose AI robots are operating in a live construction environment. Together with FieldAI, Innovo has successfully deployed these advanced robotics at Ghaf Woods in Dubai. Fully integrated into our daily operations, the robots capture critical site data, drive productivity, and maintain rigorous safety standards in challenging conditions, including extreme heat. This deployment marks a key milestone in our commitment to digitising the built environment and directly supports the UAE’s vision for a technology-led future. FieldAI is one of the most respected intelligence layer players in the entirety of robotics for its physics first approach and monumental achievements in the space. We're delighted to announce Shayegan Omidshafiei representing FieldAI at AUTONOMOUS. Shayegan leads the development of Field Foundation Models, an autonomy layer that lets robots operate in unstructured, GPS-denied environments without maps or prior training. The approach grounds intelligence in physics from the start, with architectures built for risk and uncertainty. → Spent over five years as a research scientist at Google and DeepMind, co-leading major work on deep reinforcement learning and multi-agent decision-making → PhD and SM from MIT in robotics and autonomous systems → FieldAI partners with Boston Dynamics and was named to Fast Company's Top 10 Most Innovative AI Companies of 2026, alongside Google and Anthropic Join Shayegan, 50 curated speakers and 500 attendees in San Francisco just 18 days away. Tickets are on their final tier → autonomousfuture.co #PhysicalAI #Data #FoundationModels #Automation #Roboticsnews #robotics #AIevent #AUTONOMOUS

  • Dr. Sebastian Scherer has been advancing field robotics since the first DARPA Grand Challenge in 2004. Today, he serves as Director of Safe Embodied AI at FieldAI and leads the AirLab at Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. In this video, Sebastian explains why the hardest problems in robotics are not solved in controlled environments, but in the field, where conditions are uncertain, unstructured, and constantly changing. From active perception to uncertainty-aware decision making, he shares how FieldAI is building robots that can gather information, understand risk, and keep working when the environment does not cooperate. • Business Insider reported on FieldAI’s $100 million commercial milestone and the unique architecture-first approach behind it. As we've moved beyond demonstrations and into the field, with production deployments continuing to scale across the globe, the responsibility grows with it. Enterprise customers require robots that work safely around people, operate reliably in unpredictable environments, and provide transparency into how decisions are made. The novel architecture of Field Foundation Models enables FieldAI to meet customer requirements for safety, reliability, and explainability today, and to set the standard for responsible physical AI moving forward. As Kanu Gulati of Khosla Ventures put it, “FieldAI has a growing advantage because its robots are already deployed and collecting data from doing real work.” READ MORE: https://lnkd.in/gm3E6KZs

  • Robot.com announced it is working with FieldAI to bring general-purpose robot intelligence to R-noid, its humanoid robot, using Field Foundation Models as the autonomy brain. FieldAI’s Field Foundation Models serve as an operational AI layer that generalizes across robots and environments and serves three roles for R-noid: enabling safe and reliable operations in dynamic, real-world spaces without prior information or supporting infrastructure; preventing model hallucinations through physics-grounded AI models; and coordinating multiple robots working together. R-noid is purpose-built for repetitive, multi-shift, and hard-to-staff jobs across industries including logistics, healthcare, food service, lodging, and more.

  • This is what a Wednesday looks like for FieldAI. A robot on a live construction site, operating alongside skilled crews in one of the most dynamic environments in the physical world. Construction faces $10 trillion in demand this decade and a shortage of more than half a million workers. The project list is not getting shorter, and the industry that builds everything has been underserved by technology for too long. FieldAI helps teams automate time-consuming walkthroughs, data capture, and repetitive field work so experienced crews can focus on what actually requires their expertise.

  • Singapore is becoming one of the most important proving grounds for physical AI. Over the past several weeks, FieldAI has been part of two major conversations in Singapore on how AI and robotics have moved from promise to real-world deployment. At MTX - Milipol TechX, FieldAI CEO Ali Agha joined leaders in public safety for a discussion on next-generation response and the role of AI and robotics in helping teams operate more safely and effectively in complex environments. At Asia Tech x Singapore, Shayegan Omidshafiei, FieldAI President and Chief Scientist, joined Raahul Kumar of Certis for a conversation on what it takes to send machines where humans should not have to go. Singapore is putting those conversations into practice. The country recently announced its first multi-operator robotics testbed at Punggol Digital District, bringing government, research, and industry partners together to test robotics and physical AI in a mixed-use public environment. FieldAI is proud to contribute to this effort, drawing on the perspective we’ve gained from deploying our robots across thousands of missions for many customers on three continents. We’re excited to help advance physical AI where it matters most: in the field.
