More people may soon be able to get the obesity treatment they need. Beginning July 1, eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries may be able to get certain obesity medicines for weight management through Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. This marks an important step toward real choice in obesity care, helping more patients and doctors have informed conversations about the treatment options that may be right for them. New science, new perspectives and a renewed sense of what’s possible for people living with obesity and type 2 diabetes: #ADA2026 moved us forward toward a new era of care. #WeAreLilly

Three Phase 3 trials. One consistent story. Today, we presented results from ACHIEVE-2, ACHIEVE-3, and ACHIEVE-5 — three studies evaluating our once-daily oral GLP-1 in adults with type 2 diabetes — at the #ADA2026 Scientific Sessions. Across all three studies, our medicine outperformed on blood sugar control and weight loss in this investigational use. We plan to submit to the U.S. FDA for type 2 diabetes by end of Q2 under the Commissioner's National Priority Review Voucher. The ACHIEVE program is establishing a compelling profile that could position our oral GLP-1 as a potential foundational treatment option. Read more: https://lnkd.in/e6sKG9Ct

Menopausal status is rarely evaluated in obesity research — yet it’s a critical window when hormonal shifts can accelerate fat accumulation. New post-hoc analyses from the ATTAIN clinical trial program of one of our obesity medicines, presented today at the #ADA2026 Scientific Sessions, begin to address this gap. Across both ATTAIN-1 (participants without diabetes) and ATTAIN-2 (participants with type 2 diabetes), women at every stage of menopause experienced meaningful, sustained weight reduction at 72 weeks on the highest dose. New analyses on one of our obesity medicines shed important light on an underexamined area of women's health: weight management across menopausal stages. Post-hoc analyses of the ATTAIN-1 and ATTAIN-2 trials presented at #ADA2026 found that women with obesity or overweight experienced significant weight loss at 72 weeks on the highest dose, regardless of menopausal status — pre, peri or postmenopausal. Menopausal status has rarely been evaluated in obesity treatment trials. This research begins to close that gap. Read more: https://lnkd.in/e45q8qhJ

Adults with type 2 diabetes on our investigational triple agonist achieved significant A1C reductions in the TRANSCEND-T2D-1 study, presented today at #ADA2026 and published in The Lancet Group. At 40 weeks, patients achieved A1C reductions of up to 2 percent from a 7.9 percent baseline, and 90 percent of participants achieved an A1C below 7 percent, the American Diabetes Association's general target for type 2 diabetes. Patients also saw an average weight loss of 36.6 pounds on the highest dose, with weight loss not yet plateauing. Read more: https://lnkd.in/euMmu4td
