Outpacing what’s next in social engineering.

About us

In the era of AI, knowing what’s real is harder than ever. Social engineering threats are sophisticated, multi-channel campaigns. They lurk in your inbox, compromise your email channels, and weaponize fake profiles across social networks to deceive and defraud your people and your brands. Doppel is the agentic social engineering defense platform built to fight AI with AI. Unlike traditional systems that stop at detection and inbox scoring, Doppel delivers real-time disruption. We secure the inbox while executing automated takedowns on malicious sending infrastructures, lookalike domains, and rogue profiles at machine speed. By unifying Digital Risk Protection, Human Risk Management, and Email Security onto a single centralized platform, Doppel shuts down threats at their source. We safeguard every channel, move faster than attack speed, and turn global threat intelligence into a compounding network effect that keeps you ahead of the curve. Backed by Bessemer Venture Partners, a16z, George Kurtz - CEO, CrowdStrike, South Park Commons, Strategic Cyber Ventures, Aurum Partners, a group of athlete investors led by WNBA players Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart, and Kelsey Plum, who joined the round through the a16z Cultural Leadership Fund, Script Capital, 9Yards Capital, Sozo Ventures, NTT DOCOMO Ventures, and SVAngel.

Cyber risk in manufacturing is more than just an IT/OT problem. It’s an identity problem. Doppel’s Manufacturing Threat Intelligence Brief found that credential leaks were the dominant signal across industrial and manufacturing threat activity. In April, credential leaks accounted for more than 92% of top-source activity. In May, they remained above 85%. Exposed credentials can serve as the starting point for supplier portal abuse, VPN and SSO access attempts, cloud account compromise, and worse, business email compromise, invoice redirection, and downstream intrusion. For manufacturers, the impact of a leak can affect distributed plants, contractors, logistics providers, suppliers, and remote support workflows. Check out the full brief to see the early warning signs you should know before exposed identity data turns into fraud. https://lnkd.in/gpcdPTV2

The future of cybersecurity belongs to AI-native organizations. Attackers are already operating at machine speed. They are automating reconnaissance, impersonation, phishing, and infrastructure creation across every channel where trust can be exploited. Defenders need to move just as fast. That requires more than adding AI into legacy workflows. It requires rebuilding how security teams operate from the ground up. At Doppel, we’re applying the same philosophy internally that powers our social engineering defense platform. Because outpacing AI-driven threats requires AI-native speed, autonomy, and precision. AI isn’t just changing cyber threats, it’s accelerating them. As our CEO, Kevin Tian, puts it, the evolution of these attacks can be defined in three ways: velocity, volume, and variety. Attackers are coming faster, more often, and across more platforms than ever before. Organizations can no longer rely on siloed defenses focused on a single threat vector anymore. Security strategies need to evolve just as quickly as the attacks themselves, with platforms designed to address the full spectrum of these modern threats.

Dynamic QR codes are built for convenience. But that same convenience creates a new attack surface. Threat actors are hijacking the trusted redirection pathways behind these QR codes. A legitimate printed asset can stay untouched, and a trusted corporate domain can still appear safe. But when the redirect path is compromised, users can be silently routed to malicious infrastructure. That’s QR Jacking 2.0. Read the latest on why security teams need to secure the pathway, not just the code: https://lnkd.in/gYVTYwbP

Your employees were trained to spot typos, so attackers moved to voice clones. AI-powered vishing turns social engineering into a live, high-pressure conversation. No bad links. No suspicious sender domain. No time to inspect the message. Just a synthetic executive voice pushing your help desk, finance team, or frontline employee to act fast. That changes the defense model. Security teams need to move beyond passive awareness training and build real behavioral muscle memory. Learn how here: https://lnkd.in/gJKS8--A

Blocking is the baseline. Disrupting is the goal. In his latest piece for The Hacker News, our Chief Strategy and Experience Officer Bobby Ford breaks down why modern social engineering can no longer be treated as a single-channel problem solved at the point of entry. Threat actors can now build convincing infrastructure at scale, launch across multiple channels, adapt lures in real time, and exploit trust before traditional controls ever see the full picture. That's why security teams need to move beyond blocking individual lures and start disrupting the social engineering attack chain itself. Read Bobby’s full perspective on what it takes to break the modern social engineering attack chain: https://lnkd.in/gCN62kfX

Social engineering defense is full of problems that look simple…until you get close. Software Engineer Victor Luo sees that every day. The problems Doppel solves today look very different from the ones we were solving two years ago. That constant evolution is what keeps the work sharp.
