First impressions matter more than ever in today’s fiercely competitive higher education landscape. Endicott College has elevated its game and recruitment experience with recently completed renovations to its Admissions Welcome Center. Derck & Edson was engaged by the College back in 2019 to provide campus planning services and as part of that effort, the team developed a concept to transform College Hall- enhancing Admissions spaces, creating a large events venue, and expanded visitor parking. When the College was ready to bring the vision to life in 2025, D&E was asked to lead the architectural design. The completed project features an enhanced lounge and coffee bar, meeting rooms, guest restrooms, and a warming kitchen. Capitalizing on its proximity and views to the ocean, a new 140-seat event & presentation space capable of setups for both large admissions groups and other campus functions is a gamechanger for the College. All thoughtfully designed with a hospitable Four Seasons aesthetic to improve the visitor experience. Exterior improvements to expand visitor parking and construct an accessible service ramp were also completed. Benoit Hall is being transformed as a dynamic center for innovation and hands-on learning. The renovated first floor now houses the Division of Counseling and Psychology, featuring expanded office suites, modern classrooms, and inviting collaboration and seminar spaces. Construction continues on the upper floors, which will soon provide updated learning and office environments for the Division of Education and other academic majors, further advancing Rivier’s commitment to transformative academic experiences.

Harrisburg Christian School is working to expand their educational offerings by providing hands-on technical programs and construction management instruction to prepare students for a multitude of post-secondary education and career options. Derck & Edson collaborated with school leadership to reimagine an addition to the high school building with open work areas for HVAC, electrical, welding, and framing projects as well as a garage for automotive work. The rest of the footprint accommodates much needed classrooms and faculty space. We look forward to sharing future updates on this exciting project.
