Give Where We Live is an employee-directed giving program where Dacotah Bank contributes up to $200 towards a recipient or organization in need of the employee's choice. An additional $300 can be donated by the Company to the organization in which the employee is an active board member. Chris Mardian, Business Account Specialist in Rapid City, SD, recently donated $500 to Links to Empowerment, which she is an active board member for. Links to Empowerment is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving students across South Dakota. By partnering closely with local schools, they gather valuable input from staff, teachers, students, and families to identify critical needs. We are incredibly proud to host another session of the Building Up Bison Emerging Leadership Program in partnership with the NDSU College of Business. As a company, it means so much to be part of an experience that invests in college students and supports them as they prepare to step confidently into their careers. Throughout the day at the Fargo Country Club, students focused on practical leadership skills they can immediately apply - building self-awareness and accountability, developing a strong 30-second introduction, practicing active listening, and understanding workplace culture. They also heard directly from executive leaders and members of our young workforce, who shared transparent insights about their career paths, growth, and lessons learned along the way.
