Site speed is one of the few things you get paid for where the result is just a number that went up. Core Web Vitals work is narrow, learnable and pays well. Most web freelancers skip it because it looks like plumbing. Clients care because it hits two things they already worry about: rankings and conversion. Tell a store owner a one second delay is costing them orders and they'll want it fixed that week. Learn what LCP, INP and CLS actually measure. Read a Lighthouse report properly instead of guessing. Images are usually the biggest single win. Then render blocking JS, fonts, caching. It's a wedge. Small speed job, visible result in week one, then they hand you the rest of the site. If you already do WordPress or Shopify, it's the fastest way to raise your rate without learning a new stack. Say SPEED for the audit checklist. #webperformance #corewebvitals #seo #wordpress #shopify #freelancing

Cheapest win in freelancing: learn the less popular tool. Two automation platforms do roughly the same job. Everyone crowds into the well known one. The Make.com jobs I see pull noticeably fewer applicants than the equivalent n8n or Zapier posts. Same clients, same problems, thinner crowd. Your skills carry over in a weekend. The competition doesn't follow you. Scenarios, routers, iterators. Error handling and retries, which is what separates paid work from hobby projects. Webhooks so you aren't stuck with prebuilt apps. Then ship three real ones. A lead comes in, gets enriched, lands in the CRM, someone gets notified. If you're stuck in a crowded lane, don't work harder in it. Step sideways one tool. What are you automating with? #automation #makecom #nocode #freelancing #remotework

I've been tracking how many people apply to freelance jobs, by skill. One keeps standing out. GoHighLevel. Job after job with fewer than 5 or 10 applicants. A React job gets 50 and you're number 51. The gap is a bit funny. Developers think GHL is beneath them, marketers think it's too technical, so the middle sits empty and the agencies who need it can't find anyone. Good clients, too. Agencies running a stack of sub-accounts, the same builds over and over, nobody in-house. That's retainer work. Three or four weeks gets you useful: workflows and pipelines, funnels and calendars, email and SMS sequences, missed-call text-back, sub-accounts and snapshots. Build one demo account for an imaginary plumbing company, record a walkthrough, and that's your portfolio. Say GHL if you want the build checklist. #gohighlevel #ghl #crm #marketingautomation #freelancing #remotework

A client told me their cold email campaign was a disaster. 3,000 emails, no replies. They'd rewritten the copy four times. The copy was fine. The emails were going to spam. Deliverability is a real technical skill and hardly anyone selling "cold email" actually has it. Ask them about DMARC and watch what happens. Learn SPF, DKIM and DMARC properly. Use separate sending domains so you never torch your main one. Warm up for real, which takes longer than the tools claim. Clean the list before you send to it. Why I like this one: it's measurable. Take someone from 8% inbox placement to 80% and there's a number on the screen proving you were worth the money. That work gets renewed. Say INBOX and I'll send the setup checklist. #coldemail #emailmarketing #leadgeneration #freelancing #remotework

Nobody wants to learn this one. That's why it pays. If a US business sends automated texts, they have to be registered with the carriers first. Get it wrong and the messages just stop. They still show as "sent" in the dashboard. The client swears the system is broken. Nobody can tell them why. I've watched agencies lose weeks to this. It isn't hard, it's just fiddly and badly documented, so most freelancers won't touch it. Learn brand vs campaign registration, why they get rejected (usually the opt-in wording), and run it once end to end inside GoHighLevel or Twilio. That's a weekend. The boring skills stay valuable because nobody makes content about them. Say SMS if you want my registration checklist. #freelancing #gohighlevel #twilio #smsmarketing #remotework

Hiring: video editors (remote contract) 🎬 This is the least-contested skill on the board right now — and what clients are actually asking for: short-form Reels/TikTok/Shorts, hooks, pacing & retention, captions, B-roll, sound design, motion graphics, UGC ad edits, client testimonials, and cutting long-form into Shorts. Premiere Pro / CapCut / After Effects. Most of these are ongoing monthly retainers, not one-offs. Remote, competitive rates. Apply (portfolio, 2 min) 👉 https://lnkd.in/eantv2vy Comment 'EDIT' + your niche (UGC, YouTube, real estate, faceless). #videoediting #videoeditor #shortform #ugc #reels #remotework #freelance #contractwork
