Taking drone training from concept to the field! On October 19, Cole Engineering Services, Inc. (CESI), a By Light Company, joined Creative Micro Corporation and SensorOps in Geneva, Florida, to demonstrate TrueShotAI's drone and counter-drone training capabilities. Answering the Department of War's call for drone force-on-force training at Combat Training Centers, CESI showcased a critical capability: realistic, repeatable training that prepares soldiers for evolving drone threats while helping instructors assess performance. What an incredible week at the Maneuver Warfighter Conference! From September 15–17, our team was on the ground engaging with leaders, instructors, and innovators across the Army community—showcasing how our training technologies are advancing readiness and realism for today’s Warfighters. We were proud to exhibit By Light's TrueShot AI™ product line, including Mortar, Stinger, Small Arms, FoF Drone Training, and Predictive Analytics. Alongside these, we featured several of our immersive training solutions RVCT, Forge, and BVI. Each conversation reinforced how critical adaptable, data driven training tools are for the evolving fight—and we’re honored to contribute to that mission. Yesterday, September 17, at AFCEA TechNet Orlando, By Light hosted the panel “Intersection of AI and Cyber,” where leaders explored how AI is transforming both offensive and defensive cyber operations, training environments, and mission readiness. Panelist Gillon Helman, CESI Cyber CTO & AI Officer, observed, “AI is the greatest equalizer in the history of mankind.” He emphasized how AI is shifting capabilities that once required nation‑state‑level resources into the hands of much smaller teams and even individual actors. He went on to describe AI as both “the sword and the shield” across cyber operations—highlighting its dual role as a powerful enabler and a critical protective force.
