We have joined BioLattice's Seed funding round, investing with Nittany Angels to fund a bioengineered solution addressing cornea blindness. While the current standard of care for cornea blindness is transplanted donor tissue, only 1 in 70 patients who need a donor cornea receive one, and there are often transplant complications. BioLattice addresses these and other limitations, at lower cost! We see massive social benefits arising from more accessible vision restoration and are proud to be able to support this great product and inspiring team. At boisei labs we've had two phenomenal summer intern cohorts, with students getting dynamic experience in a fast-paced venture building + investing environment and our venture studio benefiting from their great creativity and immense talent.
