Hire Ava, the AI BDR

About us

Artisan builds AI employees. Ava, the AI BDR, runs the entire outbound motion autonomously: sourcing from 350M+ verified B2B contacts, enriching across 22+ data sources, writing personalized sequences, handling replies, and booking meetings directly into your reps' calendars. With Artisan 2.0, outbound stops being a stack of 8 disconnected tools and becomes one autonomous platform. Ava replaces ZoomInfo, Clay, Outreach, Instantly, your warmup tools, your dialer, and everything in between. Companies like CookUnity, SaaStr, and Quora already work with Ava to generate pipeline at a fraction of the cost of a traditional SDR team.

New!! Artisan’s Ava 2.0: What a Fully Autonomous AI BDR Actually Looks Like in Production with CEO Jaspar Carmichael-Jack: Most of the AI SDR pitches you hear sound the same. A founder gets on stage, shows a slick demo, and promises the death of the BDR. Then you ask one hard question and the whole thing falls apart. Jaspar Carmichael-Jack, founder and CEO of Artisan, did the opposite at SaaStr AI Annual. He ran... Continue Reading

over the past few weeks over 1,000 companies have started sending outbound through an AI BDR for the first time with Ava most of them had never trusted software to do this before. now Ava has generated 1000s of leads for them autonomously people sometimes say AI BDRs don't work the truth is that AI BDRs will work if you have strong message-market fit if you can get cold email responses manually, then Ava can also get them for you too just without any human work we made Ava free to try so companies don't have to take on any risk to see if an AI BDR is a good fit for them go get yours: https://lnkd.in/ea-c38n8

We just shipped AI qualification for Ava, and it might be the most important thing we've built this year Here's the problem with outbound: most of it goes to people who were never going to buy, but you find out after you've already sent 1000 emails Ava now qualifies at two stages: 1. Before she reaches out, she researches every prospect across the internet against your criteria, e.g. "only contact companies with SOC 2." If a lead doesn't pass, they're disqualified and never contacted 2. After a lead replies, she keeps qualifying. Say you only want meetings with a budget over $10k a month. Ava can't find that online, so she asks, and she only shares your calendar link once a prospect actually qualifies Your team wake up to qualified meetings already on the calendar, booked autonomously People keep telling us AI BDRs can't qualify and that they just spray and pray. But that isn't true Ava is free to try, no card, no demo gate, at artisan.co

An SF billboard that cost us $18k/month 18 months ago is now $60k. Same billboard. We've spent $100,000's on OOH across SF, NYC, and London, so we watch this market closely. The inflation is everywhere: - Prime billboards on the 101 went from $18k to $60k per month - Bus shelters went from $250 to $1k per month - Random billboards around the city went from $2k to $6k per month Ironically, in the age of AI, real-world marketing has become more effective and popular than ever Brand campaigns, rage bait campaigns, funny campaigns - all driving prices up It's become more cost effective to fly a plane over the city dragging a banner behind it - we did it... Anyway, hire Ava the AI BDR (on free trial) to drive pipeline without spending 6 figures on billboards: https://lnkd.in/gv-TiFBH

Artisan is building the first fully autonomous AI BDR. Ava 2.0 sources leads, writes outreach, handles replies, and books meetings. No human in the loop. Self-serve onboarding in under 10 minutes. That's the promise. For that to work, Ava needs context at scale. With Linkup's web search API, Artisan gets structured company context, value proposition, market positioning and ICP signals for enrichment and onboarding. What they've built is super impressive, so we sat down with Jaspar to talk about what it means to build Ava. Full case study below. Jaspar Carmichael-Jack Lucas B. Phil Mizrahi Valentin Sauvaire

A week after launching self-serve, we’ve hit over 2,000 users That’s 5x more users than we’ve had since starting 2 years ago (sales led) We ask users where they heard about us during onboarding - the majority come from LinkedIn and Google! Now we’re working on optimizing the E2E funnel: - Improving website -> free trial conversion - Getting every user to launch a campaign with Ava the AI BDR (over 40% already have) - Optimizimg user conversion rates so they get leads  - Pushing users to upsell once they’ve gotten value from Ava - Enrolling qualified users into sequences from AEs to push them to Enterprise plans PLG is a different kind of beast. The amount of data we’re already getting is insane Next stop: 10k users 🫡

Thousands of people signed up for a free trial of our AI BDR. Over 40% have already launched a real campaign Ava is an AI employee that has to have mailbox access and permission to write and send emails autonomously That is not a low-commitment first action. And more than 40% of trials have already done it We've reached that by creating the most straightforward onboarding experience of any AI product The user chats with Ava on a video call and follows a simplified version of our UI to get a campaign live. It takes 15 minutes on average Once they get their first campaign live, we have 13 quests in the product that reward the user with credits for completing different key actions Next step is getting that to 60% - we haven't done any onboarding optimization or activation nudges yet. Those are coming over the next few weeks! If you want to try onboarding Ava the AI BDR for yourself: dashboard.artisan.co

Last night we invited San Francisco's sales leaders to YC to hear from the startups building the future of AI in sales. Akira Mamizuka (VP of Technology and Product Operations, LinkedIn) and Art Harding (GVP GTM Strategy & AI Ops, ClickUp) sat down with Hyperbound co-founder Atul Raghunathan to discuss how they're adopting AI to ramp reps faster, shorten sales cycles, and increase win rates. We also heard lightning demos from 8 YC companies at the frontier: Wolfia, Artisan, Origami, Ergo, Veles, Cedar, Caretta (YC W26), and Salesgraph. The future of sales is already here.
