Verdansk changed the scale of Call of Duty. Warzone brought millions of players together and introduced ideas like Contracts, Buy Stations, and the Gulag that became part of the language of Battle Royale.

Modern Warfare came back with a new foundation. A new engine, grounded combat, deep weapon customization, Gunfight, Ground War, and a campaign that reintroduced the world through a more modern lens.

We took Call of Duty somewhere it had never been. Infinite Warfare moved the fight across the solar system with the Retribution as your home, the Jackal in your hands, and a campaign built around the responsibility of command.

Ghosts stepped outside Modern Warfare and built something entirely new. Logan, Hesh, Riley and the Ghosts fought through a fractured America while Multiplayer introduced Squads and Extinction opened the door to an entirely different kind of co-op fight.

The war went global. Modern Warfare 3 brought the original trilogy to its explosive conclusion while Multiplayer introduced Strike Packages, Specialist, Infected, Drop Zone, and Face Off.

Everything got bigger. The campaign. The multiplayer. The moments players still talk about today. Modern Warfare 2 didn’t just follow one of the most influential shooters ever made. It built its own legacy.

The game that changed everything. Modern Warfare introduced systems that became part of Call of Duty’s DNA: Create-a-Class, Perks, Prestige, Killstreaks, weapon camos, Gold weapons, and maps players are still fighting on today.

Call of Duty 2 took the foundation of the original and pushed it further. Larger battles, refined Campaign and Multiplayer experiences, and innovations like regenerating health helped establish a formula that would influence shooters for years.

A small team set out to do something different with the first-person shooter. Call of Duty put players inside World War II through multiple perspectives, squad-based combat, cinematic battlefield moments, and Multiplayer that established the foundation for everything that followed.
