Front garden design in Woking, Surrey to create extra parking, easier access with wider gateway and more kerb appeal. Resin-bound gravel driveway with inset granite sett path. New front entrance to house with curved steps and Victorian tiles. Screened bin storage area with bespoke curved gate and Hornbeam hedge screening. New front walls and railings. Curved, raised planter with rendered blockwork walls. Planting comprising Box balls and grasses for a soft, contemporary look and feel.

Reshaped grass area with garden beds, crazy paving, new fencing, letterbox and seasonal planting. House got a facelift too with a modern colour palette replacing an existing maroon render with a black render

New front fence and automated sliding gate. Large timber posts were used with feature aluminium fence panels.

Engineered and made in Japan. Verticle posts by Ever Art Wood. Looks like timber but is actually lightweight, long lasting aluminium.

An existing heritage sandstone wall was restored and worked carefully into the design which gives the street presentation further character.
Much accuracy and consideration was applied at design stage in relation to site levels. Plotting the house and dealing with the significant site fall, front to rear was one challenge.

Set in the heart of Dublin 4, The Wellington honours the heritage of the home and site.
The design blends contemporary details within partial conservation architecture. The house is home to an old Dublin Coach House - which was protected by conservation architecture. Original sash windows and a stone wall built in a traditional method were elements included as part of this conservation process. introducing the coral paint finish to the sash window frames walks the tightrope of modernity and heritage.
This coral colour is used throughout the house on all window frames and doors as well as the stone for the kitchen island and a double height wall in the extremely unique interior courtyard - bringing a sense of warmth to the home.
A corten steel structural sculpture sits at the entrance to this house creating a grand entrance to this grand home. The door was another aspect of the conservation architecture that had to remain and was a dichotomy to the grandeur of the home and design.
A monochromatic bathroom with a mirror obelisk that disappears almost as soon as you notice it makes for a surreal and unexpected element.
Mirror finishes on all interior window pockets provide a sense of scale and generous proportions to the spaces.
Specialist wall finishes, materiality and play on scale and depth make this a harmonious and luxurious home.

Hardwood Driveway Gate - The Berkshire design. Featuring a double swan header and constructed from the finest, hand selected Iroko hardwood. Fully installed with electric opening below ground system from BFT.

The front garden of this period Edwardian property in Acton, west London, was a large expanse of concrete hard standing, and overgrown planting. The aim of the garden design was to create a garden that combined space for off-street parking for one car, architectural soft landscaping as well as a spot in which to sit and enjoy the garden. The style of the new garden had to be sympathetic to the house and it was important that the end result was more contemporary front garden than everyday driveway. Additional screening to the neigbouring boundary wall was a key requirement, as was the need to keep an existing cherry tree.

Front entrance to this arts and crafts house softened with warm coloured planting, anchored with yew balls and delineated with a stone circle, with ripples out into the gravel driveway and planting.
