The new irregular bluestone walk is an inviting paving material. Boxwood, hosta, and pachysandra groundcover were massed around large boulders. Dimmable LED lights were used to uplight the house and key plants. Down lights were positioned in trees to moon light the paving , planting and gravel areas.

A vibrant planter box filled with blooming red flowers, set against a bed of smooth river rocks. This elegant arrangement adds a splash of color and texture to the modern garden, enhancing the outdoor aesthetic.

Concrete pathway complimented by Mexican pebbles and other gravel and a combination of succulents and fox tail fern along the house show. on the hillside the "Gracie Modern Arbors" (by TerraTrellis) offer eye-catching focal points. Three installed to bring interest and needed height over a long pathway ramp with grape vines. Another frames a stairway to the hillside with a flowering Passion vine. The sloped hillsides were revamped to include low-water and low-maintenance plants that include CA natives, flowing grasses, other Mediterranean plants and several succulents.

Modern Courtyard integrated with home style, view corridors and flow patterns. Concrete has sand finish, artificial turf is installed between the pavers, IPE deck tiles used for dining area and restoration hardware fire pit was used.

A new concrete driveway was installed. The bluestone walk leads you to the front door. New plantings, LED lighting and subtle grade changes all work together to provide a lush and inviting sequence of visual events as you enter the house. We kept the paper birch by the kitchen windows, the Oak tree along the left property line and a mature spruce along the driveway.

New construction home designed and built by Hartman Baldwin. The landscape is extensive and was a collaborative effort between HB and NC Design. We created a beautiful drought tolerant landscape that blended in well with the surrounding hillsides. To ensure a healthy, vibrant environment for years to come, many colorful succulents, grasses, yuccas and flowering low-water perennials were used throughout the property, along with non-fruiting Olive trees and Palo Verde.

What an approach! A combination of European sandstone, reclaimed curbing and Belgian Porphyry squares create one stunning and functional driveway, built to last a lifetime.
