Our approach A Neighbor perspective

At Neighbor, we don’t think the best moments need an occasion. They happen when a space is designed with care, and people feel comfortable enough to stay a little longer. We design modern outdoor furniture with that in mind. From the materials we choose to the details you notice over time. Built for comfort, performance, and life outdoors.

Our story

Neighbor began with three founders who cared about design and kept running into the same problem.

Outdoor furniture was often treated like an afterthought. Well-designed pieces were often priced out of reach for everyday use. There was a clear need for thoughtfully designed furniture that felt comfortable to use, built to last, and crafted with the same care you expect indoors, without the trade-offs that usually come with it.

That belief still guides everything we design. Nothing accidental. Nothing added without a reason. If it’s there, it earned its place.

Why we build

We believe good design respects time. It feels intuitive to use, comfortable to live with, and built to last outdoors. We design until a piece feels resolved, then we stop. When something works, there’s no need to add more. We stop before it gets too loud.

Form, fully resolved

Design only works when form and function are inseparable. If something looks good but doesn’t feel right to use, it’s unfinished. If it works but doesn’t inspire, it’s incomplete. Every Neighbor piece aims to do both.

Intentional restraint

We design with restraint to remove distractions, not character. When a product is thoughtful, it doesn’t need to shout; it just needs to work.

Nothing accidental

Every decision matters. Materials, finishes, proportions, and construction all add up. Our small, Phoenix-based team designs everything in-house and takes responsibility for how each piece feels, ages, and holds up outdoors over time.

Our values How we operate

How we operate matters as much as what we make. Probably more, if you ask us.

Service that respects your time

The best customer service is the kind you don’t need. But when you do, we take it seriously. We offer a 45-day free return window and support shaped by listening and follow-through. When something is not perfect, we take it personally. We step in and make it right. When you reach out, you will hear from one of us, never a bot. Our reviews can speak for us.

How we show up

We believe quality extends beyond the product. It shows up in how we listen and respond when something isn’t right. Whether we’re designing, packing orders, or supporting customers, we do the work with care. That’s how trust is earned and kept.

We take our work seriously. Ourselves, less so.

We care deeply about materials, craftsmanship, and the details that most people won’t notice at first, but will appreciate over time. We also value some fun, humor, perspective, and approachability. Those things matter when you’re building products meant to bring people together.

In our own words

We design everything ourselves because nothing we found checked all the boxes. We care about the way things feel, the way they hold up, and the role they play in people’s lives. And when our furniture becomes part of someone’s space, that means something to us. The same care that shapes our design shapes how we take care of our customers. That responsibility does not end once the furniture ships.
