Neon Night Ride

The Neon Night Ride is a family-friendly, nighttime ride on the Lenoir Greenway. The ride starts and finishes at the Lenoir Rotary Soccer Complex. Riders decorate their bikes neon and glowing items and take a ride on the greenway together. City staff hosted the first Neon Night Ride in June 2022.

In North Carolina, children under 16 who are riding on  a public roadway, public bicycle path, or other public right-of-way must wear a properly fitted bicycle helmet.

Schedule

  • 8:30 pm - Decorate bikes, have snacks
  • Dark o'clock - Ride to Powell Road parking lot, water break
  • Dark:30 o'clock - Ride back to the soccer complex
  • 10:30 pm - Event Close

Glowing Bikes

You can use the following to light your bike: 

  • glow sticks
  • glow necklaces
  • LED bike lights
  • glow-in-the-dark tape
  • headlamps
  • other stuff that glows!

Rules

  • Bicycles only
  • Riders must wear a helmet
  • No walking
  • No scooters
  • No skateboards
  • No pets
  • No onewheels
